If I could give less than one star, I would. Very disappointing experience and customer service.
Bought sunglasses from Sunglass Hut at Bayshore in Ottawa in December. At the time of purchase, I was told the glasses had a one-year warranty that included scratches. Recently the lenses became heavily scratched and the frame, and when I visited another Sunglass Hut location, they initially told me a replacement might be possible. However, the Bayshore location later said scratches are only covered if a separate protection plan was purchased, which was never clearly explained to me at the time of sale.
What made the experience even worse was the customer service at the Bayshore location. When I walked into the store, the sales lady told me she was busy and asked me to come back in 15 minutes. I returned after 15 minutes, and then she asked me to wait another 5 minutes again. This is not the level of service customers should receive, especially after spending a significant amount of money on expensive sunglasses.
The most frustrating part was receiving different information from different employees. Customers should receive clear, honest, and consistent explanations about warranty coverage before purchasing expensive eyewear.
