Had an unpleasant experience a few days ago. I’ve shopped here a few times and customer service has always been good. This specific day, I came in with a gift card, and picked out a tennis skirt I wanted to purchase.
I believe her name was Brooke (name starts with a B) was working the change room area and was super sweet and nice. So shoutout to her for her amazing customer service.
Once I reached the cash to checkout, one of the associates politely told me that unfortunately, the gift card I had received could only be used online. That wasn’t a problem for me. I decided I would just order it online and pick the “in-store pickup” option.
I had left the store by this point to just give it some time: and in no way, did I expect to get it on the same day I had ordered. I understand orders take time to be picked. But before leaving the mall, since I was already there, I thought why not try my chances and see if an associate could just pick it for me - since I had just tried on the exact skirt I wanted, an hour earlier. Therefore, I know it’s definitely in stock, in the store.
This next associate I spoke to was extremely rude. She told me in a dismissive and annoyed tone, “you’ll get an email when it’s ready.” And immediately just helped the next customer, without even offering any further suggestions.
I work retail as well, and understand the picking process. With the item being in store, she honestly could have just picked it for me, but she simply didn’t want to. And even if she told me to come back tomorrow when it’s ready, I would have. But it’s her tone and manner in which is the problem.
