These are the items i dropped off today and was told “due to the wear of them they aren’t sellable”. Under Armour, Vans, amd Adidas. The Vans and Under Armour I purchased new and both would retail approx $60. They were worn a handful of times and are worthy of resale no problem. There were also a pair of Puma’s (not shown). As a mother, I’d be happy to buy these shoes for even $20 ea. But you tell me they’re worth nothing? Based on what I’ve seen for sale on your racks, these should have been bought by you. The photos shown are how they appeared when dropped off. I haven’t cleaned them or anything.
Won’t be back.

I’ve never felt so unwelcome as I did here. The customer service was incredibly rude, and I was treated with very little respect as a paying customer.
This Store has the rudest employees i’ve ever met. They all stare at you and talk about you behind the counter.
I will never recommend this location ever again.

Last time I came into the store there was a worker being incredibly objectifying and racist towards me. i also heard her saying homophobic comments about a clearly LGBTQ+ person that was also in the store. when i asked the name of this worker at the counter I was told her name was Kenzie. Staff apologized to me but worker Kenzie did not. I am incredibly disappointed by these events.

I wanted to enjoy my visit because the staff were friendly when I arrived and were helpful when I needed a dressing room. I ended up purchasing a few items and used a $5 coupon that had been given to me to make up for a previous mistake when I brought clothing in to sell.
After I was handed my receipt, I looked it over and asked the cashier if the $5 coupon had been applied. He explained that it had been taken off as a percentage discount.
As my family and I were walking out, I heard one of the employees behind the counter say loudly, "Oh, I have a $5 coupon to use!" to the cashier and two other staff members. When I turned around, they were all smiling. Whether it was intended or not, it felt as though I was being mocked for asking about my coupon.
Customer service isn't just about being friendly during the transaction...it's also about making customers feel respected after they leave the counter. I would like to think this is not the kind of behaviour that represents Plato's Closet or the values the company stands for. Unfortunately, I left feeling embarrassed rather than valued as a customer.
**UPDATE** The owner, Terry, reached out to me directly after reading my review and took the time to look into the situation and speak with the staff involved. I appreciate that my concerns were taken seriously and that I received an explanation. I was assured that the comment was not intended to mock or make fun of me. I appreciate Terry reaching out personally and providing additional context and investigated what happened, and offered an explanation and apology.

I went in to donate a bunch of my clothes that have barely been used. They told me i had to wait an hour…annoying but ok sure. I didn’t think i would get much from the clothes, maybe 20$ or so. It was a bunch of cute summer tops and skirts and two pairs of spring time heels ( yes nice brands and good quality, aerie skirt, steve madden top, tops from garage). An hour later i come back….They don’t want anything…(sorry we are only interested in skirts and tank tops right now) As she hands me my bag back full of skirts and tops….make it make sense. Oh and to top it all off when you actually look at what they have so much of it is shein…
