Today, I visited Plato's Closet to sell a few items.
I was greeted by Quinton who was very friendly and polite. Two other associates I dealt with were very sweet as well Ashlyn and Monique. I whole process was quick and easy. I only waited a few minutes and I was on my way. Thanks staff!

I’ll give them a four, and only because… My adhd looooves, to leave everything to the last minute. 9/10, I’ve been able to put something together, the day of with a little bit of hunting.
One thing I will say is. A couple years ago, I brought in clothes to donate. There were two, lululemon tights in perfect condition and they told me that, they were “out of season…” I went to the Burlington Plato’s location, and they took them openly. When I told the girl what had just happened, she commented on the Hamilton location, being the pickiest location and hardest to donate clothes to.🤷🏼♀️

If you’re plus size - don’t even bother bringing your clothes here. Total waste of time! The teenagers at the counter will ‘sort’ through your clothing (which are literally sizes that they sell at the store, although they are sizes they barely have any selection of at all whatsoever), and then once they’ve sorted through your stuff (which is brand name - Torrid, Old Navy, etc, even brand new items with tags on them), and tell you that they don’t sell much of these sizes and they have too much stock on the floor so they won’t be taking any of it.
Maybe you guys don’t sell much plus size clothing because you don’t carry much of it, and the 2 pieces of plus size clothing you do decide to take and put on the floor are so super outdated, so no one is going to buy it!
All in all, anyone who is a 2-3x and looking to help people out in a thrift store like Plato’s closet by selling their clothing to them, save your time and take it somewhere else that can’t just turn you away with poor excuses. Try selling on marketplace or any other app!
