I had a very disappointing experience at The Shoe Company in Burlington, today.
The supervisor seemed more focused on getting customers out of the store than providing good customer service. While we were still shopping, our personal shopping bag was taken from beside us and handed over to customer service during closing time.
When I asked why this was done, I was told, “We thought it was a lost item.” I explained that the bag had been right beside us the entire time. The supervisor’s response was simply that this is what we are supposed to do if a bag is left to the side. There was no acknowledgment that a mistake may have been made and no apology for the inconvenience caused.
The lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic customer service was very disappointing. A simple apology and a more respectful approach would have gone a long way. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had, and unfortunately it has left a very negative impression.

No way to contact via telephone. Frustrating service and company with bad customer service. Amazon has better communication in place. Better off shopping off Amazon and can get better service. Which is probably the point, to drive customers to online and we never leave our house.

I've always liked The Shoe company and the reason is you get great deals here the whole year, you don't have to wait for Black Friday or boxing day
