  Make sure when buying any guns here you completely disassemble the gun on the counter in front of the sales person. I bought an SKS from this bass pro shop trusting them that it was a complete gun and that someone along the chain had taken it apart to confirm this only to later find that the gun was missing 2 parts making it a bolt action single shot rifle and not what I paid for which is a semi automatic rifle. Now I understand that there are no returns on guns but they didn’t sell me what I paid for and should have made good on getting me the missing parts that I paid for but didn’t receive or at least paid for the missing parts once I found a supplier. I contacted the company that sells the sks to bass pro and they told me that it is the responsibility of bass pro to make sure the guns are complete and functional but bass pro passes the buck back and says that I should have disassembled it on the counter before I bought it which is what I will do for every gun I purchase in the future from bass pro. I pay them $900 for a fully functional gun but what I got was not fully functional and cost me an additional $85.36 to make it functional with the missing parts. They could have given me a gift card to make it all good but they didn’t, they passed the buck a few times before telling me it was my fault for not disassembling it before purchase. Not a good look for bass pro. If I went in bass pro and bought something, took it home and removed $80 worth of parts from the inside and returned it what would that be called? Stealing? Theft? Well when I pay $900 and don’t get what I paid for that is also stealing. Disgusting that such a big company couldn’t make good on the purchase I made. Disgusted In HFX

  I had purchased a fishing tackle bag at Bass Pro Shops Dartmouth. This year when I went to use it, every zipper had corroded and wouldn't open. Was purchased just over a year ago. First customer service told me the Bass Pro XPS didn't belong to them so not their problem? When pointed out it was "Bass Pro" they said it was their brand but as purchased over a year - not their problem - they wouldn't even give a discount on a replacement. Terrible customer service and they don't stand behind their own brand. UPDATE - They responded to this post below within 30 minutes. I did send them my contact info as they requested. No response. I suspect their post below is just for optics for folks seeing the bad review to think they followed-up. I'll be doing my sport shopping at Canadian Tire instead of the US owned company from now on.
