    On December 17,2025 I had the pleasure of being assisted by customer service representative Karina Oliva in the Beauty Department. I found her to be very professional,courteous and very helpful in ordering a Christmas Gift which was out of stock. She explained the process and assured me I would recieve the item i purchased within 2 days. True to her word I received my purchase on the early morning of the 20th. Once again Nordstrom’s dose not disappoint and Karina provided me with 5 STAR SERVICE and is a Great Asset to your business. Big Thank You Don Rodriguez

    This is not the same Nordstrom department store as it was years ago. The service has waned and I prefer just to order online and have my purchases shipped to my home. About five weeks ago I bought a perfume set in person that was under $100. This set came with gifts with purchase including an eye makeup remover. I had my receipt, my merchandise, and my gifts with purchase. The clerk was inspecting my return with a fine tooth comb. She then asked her supervisor to question my return. One of the gifts with purchase was a makeup remover that had an oily look to it. The supervisor told me that I was not able to return the eye makeup remover because she “assumed” it was used. I told her to look at it again and she quickly apologized because she did not understand the product and she assumed the product was half used. I’d she cared to look and not glance, the liquid was filled to the top of the bottle. The supervisor then took apart my perfume set that I wanted to return, extracting the items from the taped insert and inspecting everything. I don’t know what she was hoping to find… Interestingly, the clerk was inspecting my other gift with purchase items and noticed there was an additional item that I included in the return because I did not care for this brand. These ladies were so perplexed and talking among themselves that I had to interrupt them and tell them what happened! In the end, I FINALLY had my return completed. Talk about customer no-service! Since Nordstrom has its majority stake bought out by another company this store has faltered. I’ll just order online and return online if needed. Nordstrom is not so special…too many choices to make purchases. Hear that Nordstrom?! Oh, and there was a couple of purchases I needed to make afterwards. Did I want to give Nordstrom my business? Nope, I went to Macy’s instead. Anywhere but Nordstrom! Update: I ended returning all the purchases I made at Nordstrom in the last month. I also spoke to the store manager on duty to inform her of the lack of service this store has exhibited lately and that I will no longer shop Nordstrom since there are so many more options! t should be noted that the customer in front of me in the "order desk"/ no-customer service line had lost her debit card in this store. This customer said that when she asked the clerk to help her find it an associate said she had no time to do so!

    What I must say is this is a particularly luxurious Nordstroms! All employees I have ever had to deal with have been exemplary! Especially the ladies working in the women's departments! Because I am a male crossdresser... And they have always always always been extremely accepting of me and accommodating towards me! They have helped me with any number of things from makeup to dresses to shoes and the works! We have enjoyed ourselves and even had some fun along the way! And they always enjoy, as do I, in critiquing the looks we put together for me! Me! I would recommend them and the store to anyone of any gender or sexual orientation! Marvelous! I always look forward to returning!

    Very Disappointing Experience at Nordstrom Mission Viejo I want to make it absolutely clear that this review does not come from a place of racism or discrimination. I do not judge anyone based on their background, culture, or nationality. My comments are based solely on my personal experiences, as well as those of my friends and family, all of whom have had similar issues at this same store. That being said, there is a recurring pattern that is impossible to ignore: the most consistently poor customer service we have received at Nordstrom Mission Viejo has come—coincidentally—from employees of Iranian or Persian origin. This is not a judgment against an entire community, which would be unfair and irresponsible. It is simply a fact that, on several occasions, we have encountered a lack of willingness to help, dismissive attitudes, and an overall level of service far below what a brand like Nordstrom is expected to provide. At a store of this caliber, customers should receive respect, attention, and professionalism—none of which we have consistently found here. I truly hope the management takes a closer look at these issues, because customers deserve a dignified, consistent, and high-quality experience, regardless of who assists them. My one-star rating is not based on prejudice; it is based on repeated, real, and verifiable experiences.

    I was at the Spectrum Nordstrom and the sales associate there placed a shoe order for me because they were out of stock in their location. She clearly told me that I could go picked them up now at the Mission Viejo location. When I arrived at this location, they mentioned that the shoes were not ready and that I had to wait until I received an email saying that they are ready. I then went to the shoe department and found the shoes I had order. I asked them why can't they just either cancel my order and sell me the shoes they have OR just bring the shoes from the shoe department to the pick up counter. They just said that they cannot do any of those options because I had to cancel the order myself once I receive a link from an email, that I have not received yet. The entire process seems completely inefficient to me. What happens if the sales person makes a mistake, you're telling me they have no way of canceling it and i would just get charged twice and wait for the link, doesn't make sense to me. Horrible experience, I will not be buying at Nordstrom again. They really need to improve their order experience.
