  What a terrible staff!! I had an absolutely horrible experience at the Steve Madden store today. The store was running a “buy 1, get 1 70% off” promo, but the cashier somehow overcharged me. I caught the mistake shortly after while still in the mall and went back to get it corrected — and honestly, I wish I hadn’t bothered. The entire staff crowded around the cashier area, and every single one of them acted like helping me was a burden. No one explained anything. I stood there for about 5–7 minutes while they ignored me and gave me attitude. When I finally asked what the issue was, they told me the only way to adjust the price was to return and repurchase the items — but the shoes I bought were no longer in stock. They made a couple of calls but clearly didn’t care, and the other stores didn’t have them either. I asked if I could at least get store credit for the price difference, and they flat-out said no, with the same rude tone the whole time. No apology, no understanding, nothing. After wasting 15–20 minutes dealing with their unprofessional behavior, I finally walked out because I didn’t want to risk losing the shoes altogether. I’m honestly furious. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. The staff made me feel like I was the inconvenience when it was their mistake in the first place. Absolutely unacceptable.
