  I am a regular customer at Delta 9 and have always had great experiences there. The staff have generally been friendly, and I've enjoyed coming in regularly. Unfortunately, my most recent visit left me feeling very upset and embarrassed. I had just finished an 11-hour shift and was looking for something to help me relax after a difficult day and losing one of my favourite patients. While I was being checked out, the employee serving me said, "Wow, I forget how young you are because you look way older in person." I responded by saying that life had been a little rough on me lately. She then replied, "Yeah, I guess so," and laughed. While it may not have been intended to be hurtful, I found the comment about my appearance to be insensitive and inappropriate. The employee had no way of knowing that I had just worked a long shift or that I had lost one of my favorite patients that day. However, comments about a customer's appearance are unnecessary regardless of the circumstances. What may have seemed like a joke had a significant impact on me. I left the store feeling terrible about myself and ended up in tears. As someone who has supported this business regularly and genuinely enjoyed my interactions with the staff, this experience was very disappointing. I now feel embarrassed about returning to a place where I previously felt comfortable and welcomed. I understand that one customer choosing not to return may not make a difference to the business, but I wanted to share my experience and explain why this interaction affected me
