Jeweler Sam Boktor starting working in his father's jewelry store in Egypt when he was barely able to see over the front counter. That may be why he's not afraid to touch broken and bruised pieces that other jewelers deem "unfixable." Boktor's 8-year-old repair shop -- located in the center of downtown's teeming jewelry district -- is known for taking on problematic pieces and for its slick, made-to-order jewelry. The friendly proprietor, who moonlights at his new store, Galleria Jewelry and Watch Repairs at the Glendale Galleria mall, made bracelets for singer Jason Mraz's 2008 world tour and once crafted a custom wallet chain for Ricky Martin.
Prices range affordable, and Boktor often doesn't charge for routine cleanings and "simple things."

The price for it all was extremely reasonable and Sam even noticed that the band I had brought was silver while the watch was gold, and swapped the buckle for me! I’m very happy with the service and would definitely come here again

The store was small although appealing and clean. They have a good location, fast turnaround, and helpful with my needs. Their repair was perfect, very well-priced, and Sam and his staff are friendly and straight forward. Don't get ripped off at the mall or big name places with bad vibes and prices and go to Sam!
- ASAnnee SilverJan 8, 20265.0I wanted to add to the numerous kind reviews of Sam and Sandy. They’re very professional, parking is $5 for 15 minutes nearby, and their work is perfect. I had two rings sized, and repaired my mother’s expensive diamond bracelet that had broken. For the repair I wanted to add my siblings and my own birthstones and asked him to do it the way he thought would look best. It came out truly lovely. My rings fit perfectly and you cannot tell where they were sized at all. In the bracelet photo, the colorful blue stone set of 3 is the addition and repair. I will go to Sam from now on, you can trust him with your jewelry. He also cleaned up the jewelry very nicely and sent me home with a lovely box to present the bracelet in to my mom.

I just needed a few watch batteries changed, and walking up Hill St I was a little lost on where to go - lots of high end looking jewelry places but nowhere that looked like I could just walk in with some watches. I'm glad I walked into Sam's, because I was able to stop in, get expert help and customer service from Thomas, and leave - and then come back in, I think, an hour or less, he called me when they were done, and I came and picked them up, same day, just an hour! Very happy with how it turned out, and my watches all work great again.
