  How sad a supposedly high end mall with 3 broken down escaladers the one near Macy's since Xmas which is both ways on one side. Also no place to sit down and rest. Wow.

  As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series and SERA Archives Thriller Series, I always notice locations with strong design and movement, and Americana at Brand is one of the most visually impressive shopping areas around. This is a fully outdoor, European-style mall with a lot of attention to detail. The central fountain and pool area really anchor the space, and there’s even a small trolley that moves through the property, which adds a fun and slightly unexpected element. It’s designed more like a walkable city than a traditional mall. The layout pulls you through different sections naturally, and the whole place feels much more engaging than a standard shopping center. There are large parking structures on both ends of the property, though your map app might route you to one farther away. Either way, parking is straightforward. You take a ticket on entry and pay when you leave. It does get very busy, so be ready for crowds, especially during peak times. That said, the space handles the volume well because of how open everything is. I’ve also found myself walking through places like this while working on the Maui Desire Romance Series, where the mix of movement, architecture, and people creates a strong backdrop for scenes. Overall, it’s one of the prettiest and most thoughtfully designed malls in the area, with a great atmosphere and a lot going on.
