    On November 9, 2025 I ordered a necklace for my daughter for her birthday in December. Online it provided me a pickup date of November 28, 2025. A few days before that date I went to JC Penny's Culver City hoping it arrived a few days early but it hadn't. Then about a week or so I went back and was told the same thing plus online it still said in transit. On December 6, 2026 I spoke to customer service who informed me there was no tracking number found so it must have not been sent. She then asked me do I want her to reorder my item or get a refund, I chose a refund because again it was a birthday gift that I needed ASAP. On December 12, I received a email and a text stating my item was canceled due to.pick up window expired and refund applied. How could I pick something that was never available. After then I spoke to numerous customer service representative (12/11/25, 12/28/25, 12/31/25, 1/8/26) who gave me several different time frames to when I would be refunded. Per the last rep. I spoken with on 1/8/26, I was informed a supervisor would be contracting me. That day I did received a call from a supervisor who asked a few questions and told me she would contact me again before the end of the day but she didn't. She called back on 1/10/26 stating that my merchandise has been located and that it had never been logged in that's why it couldn't be found. She then asked me would I be picking it up and I told her flat out no. I want my refund that had been discussed. Its not my fault that JC Penny's obviously has flaws entering merchandise in their system in a timely manner. I told her I ordered my item from another company. She said she had to speak to her supervisor regarding our conversation . I am sick and tired of this back and forth issue regarding my refund. JC Penny's will never worry about getting my business ever again. I spent alot of money with them this holiday and this the thanks I get. Rest and believe I have all my proof and names and dates of who I spoke with and all the dead end promises I have received regarding my refund.

    Jc penny, you are my 1980s childhood. I had to go with my mother and buy my first bra here, which was so so awkward, because my mother insisted I try on many and then show her. You, jc penny, you were great back then. And you still are. But man, you make returns so hard. It’s not the staff, or it’s maybe the staff not having enough support, which seems bad. I’m sure some could be skimmed from the boardroom to give the folks who work at Pennys a bigger paycheck and hire a few more folks to help the staff who are seemingly overworked? People maxxing, or whatever the kids call it these days. The folks who work here are a+++, but yeah, they seem to be individually doing the work of 3 people, which is my guess as a person who has had this job in the past, not at pennys but similar. I know malls are going out of style, but if pennys is considering shuttering its brick and mortar locations, I’d suggest they go out in glory, like after paying their current folks a much higher wage and ending on a good note. Be a good member of the larger community, that sort of thing, tho I know jc penny is a corporation. But that’s just me. This store specifically tho is great, my beef is in how it seems to burden its staff with too much.

    I always find something to buy at JCPenney! There’s always a great variety of items on sale, and everything seems clean, even though there’s a bit of a scruffy vibe for some reason. Maybe the lighting, maybe the floors. LThe store is conveniently located inside a shopping mall with plenty of free parking, which is a big plus. I’ve even had the same cashier help me twice — super friendly and consistent service! And I was able to go in with my dogs, which makes the shopping experience even better.
