  My family and I have bought so many things from Macy’s over the years, including many pairs of sunglasses, and we’ve recommended Macy’s to a lot of people because we trusted the brand. That’s why this experience at Macy’s South Coast Plaza was so disappointing. I bought sunglasses 5 days ago and the lenses were scratched when I received them. I returned for help and asked to speak with a manager. The person I spoke with just said “I am the manager” and was rude and dismissive, only repeating “exchange only” with no effort to handle the situation professionally or escalate it further. This is not how loyal customers should be treated. I’ll be warning my Persian community and my academic community to avoid shopping at this location if they expect respectful service or accountability.

  Very disappointing experience at the Macy’s Sunglass Hut on 12/21 around 3 PM. The associate who assisted us was rude and avoidant. Instead of answering questions or explaining the process, she would turn her back to us, shake her head, avoid eye contact, and point at the iPad for us to fill out rather than communicating. When she did speak, she mumbled and seemed visibly frustrated that we were asking basic questions. I am describing her appearance only because she did not provide her name. The associate was short, had dark brown hair, and wore very noticeable eyelash extensions. We were trying to purchase two pairs of sunglasses, and she could not clearly explain whether items were in stock or provide nearby store options. Because of the lack of assistance and her frustration, we ended up placing the order ourselves online, which defeats the purpose of shopping in-store. We are now hoping the order arrives correctly, given how unclear the entire process was. To make things worse, another employee was openly laughing about leaving a customer on hold and forgetting about them, which felt extremely unprofessional. Overall, this location seriously needs better customer service

  Very Disappointing Experience at Sunglass Hut – Macy’s South Coast Plaza Today, Monday the 6th, was truly a terrible day for me when I went to return an item at 7 PM at Macy’s South Coast Plaza. I was extremely disappointed by the disrespectful attitude of a staff member at Sunglass Hut. I had purchased a pair of sunglasses, but due to an eye problem, I had to return them. The employee named Natia, who said she was the manager, was clearly unhappy and showed a negative attitude toward me during the return process. She tried to find faults and refused to accept the return, even though the return period had not expired. I am very disappointed that such a large company would have an employee who treats customers so rudely and makes me feel discriminated against. I sincerely hope that Macy’s management will review the customer service attitude at this location so that other customers won’t have to experience the same thing.

  The manager is extremely rude! I tried returning a pair of Rayban sunglasses I bought from this store and the manager kept saying it had scratches when it had none! She refused to take it back and kept cutting me off. Won’t be returning to this store!

  This is what it happened to me yesterday....I brought a Ray ban sun glass from Sacramento on 11-23-2018, went to this store to return it on 11-26-2018, she checked the sun glass for a min and created a cheating story it has a tiny scratch so we cannot take it back, also this is not brought from this store, I verified and I could not find any scratch, Because it was always inside the sunglass case I am 100% confident there is no scratch, but this is the technique she used, so beware of this cheating technique.
