  Extremely disappointing experience at the Chanel store at South Coast Plaza. The salesperson, Ernie, was rude, dismissive, and spoke in an insulting and degrading way. This is completely unacceptable for a luxury brand that claims to value customer service. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt judged and disrespected. I left the store upset and shocked by the treatment I received. I have also submitted a formal complaint to Chanel Customer Care, and I hope management takes this matter seriously so no other customer experiences this type of behavior.

  The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. A sales associate named Kris was incredibly rude and completely unprofessional. She has no idea how to treat customers with respect. Her appalling behavior was the sole reason I walked out and canceled my purchase. Avoid this place if she’s working!"

  I had a very disappointing experience with an employee (ID 5870, Chinese nationality) during my recent visit. I asked her several questions to get more details about the products, but she kept a stern expression and didn’t respond at all. When I asked if there were other styles available, she curtly said "no" and didn’t offer any help in checking further. However, when I turned around, I found the style I was looking for in another display case, which means it wasn’t out of stock as she claimed. Her attitude was extremely rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. As a customer, I expect basic courtesy and helpful service, but this experience was far below those expectations. I hope this feedback can help improve customer service in the future.

  I had an extremely unsettling experience with this store, specifically with the manager, Maria. I purchased my glasses in Las Vegas on 11/23/2025 and have been attempting to either exchange or return them. Since I live in San Diego, I was advised by my local boutique that the nearest location to handle the transaction was Costa Mesa—despite already hearing negative experiences about this store from family and friends made an attempt to go and handle the transaction. I initially sent my husband to complete the return, and the transaction was immediately rejected. The manager claimed the return policy had changed, even though my receipt clearly states that I have until 1/8/2026 to return the glasses. I then contacted customer service, who were empathetic, apologized for the experience, and opened a ticket to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I never received a follow-up. In a final attempt, I sent my sister to the store, where she again encountered Manager Maria. She was dismissive and rude, and simply stated that the return could not be processed. When my sister asked if she could contact customer service to review the open ticket—per Chanel’s main customer service department—Maria refused and ushered her away without offering any alternatives or solutions. This experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I will not be doing business with this store again.
