I encountered a particularly unpleasant and rude cashier at lululemon today, and I’m now taking five minutes to write down what happened.
When I was checking out, the cashier was very impolite. Usually, they ask what color bag you prefer, but this woman didn’t ask me at all.She just grabbed a very ugly bag. I told her I wanted a solid colored bag and didn’t want one with patterns. She completely ignored me and handed me a patterned bag. I repeated that I wanted a solid colored bag, and she said, "So you want two bags?" To me, the bag is just a trash bag anyway, so I said, "Forget it, this is fine."
Then we moved on to scanning the items. From the beginning, I explained to her that I wanted to split the bill and asked her to let me know when the amount reached $100. She was rude the entire time and didn’t respond. So, I asked again, "You’ve already scanned five or six items.. hasn’t it reached $100 yet?" She rolled her eyes at me and said, "I’ll scan everything first and then split the bill according to the amount you want." I replied, "Okay, I understand. Thank you." And so, we struggled through this part…
The woman’s impatience and cold, rude attitude throughout really made me want to ask her if something terrible had happened in her life. However, since I really needed to use the restroom, I just wanted to finish up. During the long wait in line, I noticed that this woman had overcharged me. If you’ve read this far, you’ll know it must have been God’s way of making sure I went back to let her colleagues know how rude she was!
So I went back and spoke to her other friendly colleagues, explaining that I had been overcharged and asking them to refund the difference. I also asked their supervisor for this woman’s name, but perhaps to protect employee privacy, she didn’t provide it. I can understand that, haha! I don’t know if she’ll see this, but here’s what I want to say to her: If you’re a princess, you should go back to your castle, not… well, I’m getting a bit off topic now!
Then I had to queue again in a long line at the checkout. This time, the cashier was very helpful—she found a solid-colored bag for me. Thank you! I returned the ugly bag to lululemon. I really dislike cluttered colors, by the way. She also helped clear up a concern of mine: I couldn’t see this order in my lululemon app, nor had I received an email. So, perhaps biased due to my earlier experience, I wondered if the previous cashier hadn’t completed the scanning properly. Anyway, I ended up spending over ten minutes on this… Well, if you’re unlucky enough to encounter someone who’s a bit arrogant and impatient… please check your receipt carefully! Thank you for watching 😂
