My mother liked to visit this store for small items. She recently passed away and I took many truck loads of her items to donate there. The last donation included some pretty nice glass items and we were shocked when they just dumped an entire box full into one of their containers and the sound of breaking glass was obvious. The man just shrugged his shoulders when we asked why he destroyed the donations so carelessly. I have quite a lot of items that I still plan on donating yet they won’t be going to Deseret. This behavior was completely unacceptable.

It is ashame that as much as I would like to support something so local and as a church type of business. I have been treated extremely poorly here countless of times. Today took the cake: I stood in line and was ignored by both cash register workers and the manager. I was in line and had moved to the register and I was still ignored. The manager has always had a bit of an attituted regardless but we still donate many times and for as much as they depend on the community, they act like they dont. It is wild. Many items are ruined by their taping methods and they are not very cheap even though it is all used. Today I wanted to speak to the manager but she was right there watching it all. Train your staff to notice and say “actually shes been waiting” the second employee was asked to open a register and instead she ignored someone waiting and seemed very selective in her “helping”. All of that is not okay. Youre busy, we are all busy. Not a single apology as they saw me leave my stuff and leave.

What is sold is in good condition, however I think it's a little pricey for me. Honestly I would think that the prices should be half of what was asked for.

I love going to this store. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The store is clean and well maintained. There's only one problem and that's with whoever is pricing the items. I see original prices on the items of 99 cents etc and the store is charging well over that price.
