I’m honestly very sad to write this review because I wanted all of my experiences here to be positive, but unfortunately they weren’t.
My partner purchased about $18k worth of jewelry for me from Van Cleef in one purchase. After that, it felt like the sales associate, Jay, was only interested in being helpful if there was a possibility of buying high jewelry. Most of his effort afterward seemed to go into texting my partner to try to sell high jewelry rather than assisting me as the client.
One of the items from the original purchase was a bracelet that needed resizing. When I first came in to get it resized, Jay was too busy with another client to help me (maybe because I didn’t bring my partner, which he insisted on). He did stop by later to say hi, and I understand things happen, so I didn’t think too much of it at the time. He told me the resizing would take 1–2 weeks and that he would call me when it was ready, but he never did. I ended up having to follow up myself after waiting over a month.
When I finally came in to pick up the bracelet, I waited almost 20 minutes past my appointment time. Once again, Jay was too busy to help me and another associate had to assist instead (probably because I was mainly there to pick up the bracelet and there was no guarantee I was going to buy anything). While I was waiting, Jay came into the waiting area, saw me, and didn’t even say hello before walking away.
It’s very disappointing to spend that much money and still feel ignored and deprioritized, especially at a luxury brand where customer service should be a priority. Unfortunately, this experience has completely turned me off from this location, and I will not be returning.
