  Genuinely the most shockingly bad customer service I’ve ever received and completely unacceptable for a luxury brand. Came in to exchange a pair of Chanel flats that my fiancee had bought for me. He bought me a size 36.5 and I know from borrowing my friend’s Chanel flats that I am a 37.5 so I called ahead to ask them to put that aside for me. Went in the next day to try them on and make the exchange. They brought out the shoes and I tried them and they seemed okay but maybe a tad big, but since I had worn my friend’s pair many times I assumed they were the right ones. Note that after making one exchange, Chanel no longer accepts any exchanges, making the shoes final sale. Upon getting to my car I pulled them out just to double check size and saw that they were 37.5C (meaning comfort sizing for people with a wider foot). I have super narrow feet so I knew that this would not be right for me. Seems like the size is something you would check as a store clerk when selling $1500 shoes. I returned to the store to tell them that they’d given me the wrong size (I’d asked for 37.5 not 37.5C) and this is when they notice that one of the shoes has some marks on the bottom and accuse me of wearing the shoes (in the last 20 minutes). At no point did I put the shoes on my feet outside of the store, so clearly they just sold me the pair with one of them damaged. I then have to wait while they review the store footage to see if I put the shoes on which of course I did not (this should have been obvious considering one of the shoes was clearly brand new and the other was not). After reviewing the footage and clearly recognizing their mistake they kindly “made an exception” for me and gave me undamaged shoes in the size I had originally asked for. Zero apology was given. All in all the exchange took 1.5 hours. Shocking to be made to feel like a criminal when purchasing $1500 shoes. I’ve had better client experience buying $100 shoes.

  Terrible service at Chanel shoe section at Holts Vancouver. Hope there will be another place in the city to buy Chanel shoes
