We made a purchase with Mahin, we wanted to make use of the BOGO promotion. They only had 1 pair of the RayBans we wanted at the store, so we agreed to take that pair home [one of us is travellung tomorrow to Europe and wanted the glasses for that purpose] and have the 2nd pair mailed. We paid for both pairs. When we asked about the one pair we were taking home, they said we were receiving both at home. We said that was not the agreement, and to refund the payment and cancel the order. They said they could not do that. The Assistant Manager CAMILO was rude and nonchalant, saying there was nothing they could do, and basically said it was our fault. They refused to issue a refund, and their solution was that we buy a 3rd pair at full price and once the pairs arrived we could refund one. But I dont have another 300 dollars to buy a 3rd pair. When we asked for the refund they started saying we wanted to get the product for free.

I stepped into Sunglass Hut simply to browse for a pair of sunglasses for my son. I had absolutely no intention of purchasing anything for myself. However, because of the exceptional sales representative who assisted us, I ended up purchasing a pair for myself, and my sister, who was with me, purchased a pair as well. I want to specifically recognize this sales associate because she truly stood out. I am not an impulse buyer. I am very intentional about my purchases and rarely buy something I wasn’t already planning to purchase. What made this experience different was her approach. She never made us feel like she was trying to make a sale. Instead, she was authentic, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. It felt more like having a trusted friend help us choose the right styles while also pointing out the best value and available savings. She understood what looked good on us, listened to what we liked, and made recommendations without ever being pushy. That combination of authenticity, product knowledge, and strong sales ability is rare. She is extremely good at what she does, and I hope Sunglass Hut recognizes her for it. We walked in planning to browse for one person and walked out with two additional purchases entirely because of the experience she created. That says a great deal about her talent as a salesperson and the value she brings to the store.

I had a very disappointing experience with the Sunglass Hut location in Richmond. I originally purchased two pairs of Oakleys: the Terraformer and the RadarLock. The RadarLocks were discounted as part of a buy-one-get-one promotion, but for some reason the employee processed them as two separate transactions, with the Terraformers on one receipt and the RadarLocks with the promotional discount on another. About a week later, I noticed what appeared to be a defect on the Terraformer lens. I first went to the Langley location, where the staff carefully inspected the sunglasses and agreed they should be exchanged. Since they didn't have my model in stock, they contacted the Richmond location where I had purchased them, confirmed they had a replacement available, and asked them to put it on hold for me. After driving all the way to Richmond, my experience completely changed. The employee immediately claimed I had caused the damage myself and accused me of scratching the lens. He refused to exchange them, despite another Sunglass Hut location already inspecting the sunglasses and approving the exchange. When I asked to speak with the manager, he informed me that he was the manager. After explaining that we had driven there because Langley had arranged the exchange, he eventually said, very rudely, "I'll refund you, but don't expect doing business with us again." We accepted the refund and left. About an hour later, he called me to apologize. He admitted he had been having a bad day and acknowledged that he should not have treated me that way. To make things right, he offered to sell me another pair of Terraformers at 40% off, so I agreed to return the following day. When I returned, another employee introduced himself as the store manager and explained that the person I had dealt with the previous day was actually the assistant manager. I explained everything that had happened, and the store manager confirmed that the assistant manager had, in fact, offered me 40% off. Initially, he told me there would be no issue honouring that offer. However, when it came time to complete the purchase, the agreement completely changed. The store manager said they would only honour the 40% discount if I repaid part of the promotional discount I had originally received on my second pair of sunglasses. This condition had never been mentioned during the phone call or before I made the trip back to Richmond. Despite acknowledging what the assistant manager had promised, the store manager refused to honour it. As a result, I made a second unnecessary trip to Richmond. The revised price they wanted me to pay ended up being higher than what I could purchase the sunglasses for elsewhere, so I declined the offer. After everything that had happened, I chose to take my business elsewhere. When I questioned why the agreement had changed, I was simply told, "Take it or leave it," followed by the comment, "I'm ten steps ahead of you." That response was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. I have since filed a complaint with Sunglass Hut head office because I believe this situation was handled extremely poorly. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What matters is how a business responds. Unfortunately, this location failed at every opportunity. Instead of standing behind their product and honouring what was promised, I experienced accusations, rude customer service, changing agreements, and a complete lack of professionalism. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend the Richmond Sunglass Hut location. If you need assistance with an exchange or purchase, I would strongly recommend visiting another Sunglass Hut location, such as Langley, where the staff treated me with professionalism and respect.

We had a wonderful experience at Sunglass Hut thanks to Mahin. From the moment we walked in, MAHIN was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient in helping us find the perfect pair of sunglasses. She took the time to understand what we were looking for, explained the different options, and made the entire shopping experience easy and enjoyable. We never felt rushed or pressured, and we truly appreciated the excellent customer service. Thank you, Mahin, for making our purchase such a positive experience. We highly recommend this Sunglass Hut location!
