  I love shopping at American Eagle, and admittedly do 99% of my shopping there, online. I recently decided to bring in a return to save me some time and effort. Probably won't be doing that again.. The store has a square counter, tills on either side. And when I arrived there was an associate on both tills. I lined up behind someone at one of the tills and I was directed to line up at the other till after standing there for about 3 minutes, waiting my turn. I mentioned that I had a return to do, and instead of the staff member politely correcting me to line up there for any type of transaction, I was shot a snotty look and she corrected me with attitude. Simple mistake, when your tills have ZERO signage. No need for the look. After my return was gladly processed by another staff member and I left the store, I noticed the math seemed wrong. I returned to the store and asked for clarification, stating that I believe my return was done incorrectly, but as I entered the store the same staff member who was initially rude to me, clearly said something under her breath to someone next to her, and walked away to avoid helping me. I understand that working in customer service is a hard job, especially on a beautiful day like today. But the attitude was uncalled for, and ridiculous. Ill avoid shopping in this store in the future.

  American Eagles is a really good boutique for both adults and teenagers. I used to go there a lot back when it was in the Sevenoaks mall. The customer service there was solid good and I like their selection of jeans. The staff also do a good enough job helping the customers while keeping store clean and presentable.

  Came into the store yesterday and only grabbed shorts from the clearance rack to try - didn’t notice they were 70% off at first. When checking out the cashier gave me the deal of BOGO only which was $125 for 2 shorts. When I asked if one was on clearance she questioned me and said no I’m pretty sure they are on the table and another staff came and confirmed. I ended up getting 70 off one and then she said the other was regular price. Today I’m trying on the shorts at home and they are both on clearance (with stickers) in the section I got them from. So now I’ve over paid by $45 + taxes. Pretty shady practice. Clearly you need to train your staff better or use red clearance stickers so cashiers can easily see … I will be making a return and start shopping online or at a different location as price gouging is not ok.

  I went there to buy some tube tops with a friend and my total came out to 35 dollars and I gave her two twenty’s and she took three when I wasn’t looking and was very rude to my fiends as well
