With 500+ independently owned and operated locations across the U.S. and Canada, fresh inventory arriving daily, Plato's Closet makes thrifting easy, affordable, and more sustainable.
Pretty well organized, although I found the amount of shein clothes there quite shocking. I’ve never donated but hearing all the reviews about it, and then seeing mostly shein clothes is… confusing to say the least. I thought plato’s only took higher end brand name stuff?

We’ve been bringing in clothes there since they first opened. They used to be great but they have REALLY gone downhill. Just brought in a laundry basket FULL of my daughters all new within the last year Aritzia, lululemon, Garage, Gap…. She is METICULOUS with her things and he just barely skimmed through in about 5 seconds and said they don’t take out of date things and things that are worn (ripped jeans that she BOUGHT ripped are supposed to be like that🙄). Wouldn’t even do a proper look and was very rude/arrogant (which I have found him to be the last bunch of times we’ve gone there).
Definitely won’t be going there again.

First time dropping off to Plato’s. Would say over all a poor experience. I strongly feel the staff should inform new comers of the items they do not take “wrinkly” and “out of stye” clothes. Seeing as most donated clothes sit in a bag or tote waiting to be taking to a donation centre wrinkles are a bit unavoidable.
When I was txted about my clothes being ready, no one could find me in the system. After 3 people had to help I was handed my bag of rejects. Really would have saved the extra trip back down if I was Informed upon arrival what they don’t take. I was under the impression they take anything name brand.
Anyways, will just be donating to the women’s shelter as they are happy to take wrinkled clothing.

My daughter brought 26 items in to Plato’s closet. Most of these items were brand new, jeans, skirts from Aritzia, white fox, brand new with tags, they took a total of 26 items. My daughter walked away with $4.50 per piece Absolutely not worth it.. . Would not recommend. 😱
