  Extremely disappointed with Saint Laurent’s quality and after-sales service. I purchased a bag for approximately $1,700, and after only about 15 months, the zipper stopped working properly. For a luxury brand at this price point, I would expect the hardware and workmanship to last significantly longer than two years. What made the experience even worse was being told that it would cost approximately $350 just to repair the zipper. Charging that much to fix a basic hardware failure on such an expensive, relatively new bag is honestly shocking. When you spend this kind of money on a luxury handbag, you’re not only paying for the name, you expect quality, durability, and customer service to stand behind the product. Unfortunately, my experience with Saint Laurent has been the complete opposite. Very disappointing, and it has definitely made me reconsider purchasing from the brand again.

  Very disappointing experience with both the product and customer service at Saint Laurent West Edmonton Mall. I purchased two Saint Laurent bags from this location on two consecutive days — one black and one cream. I use my black bag regularly, but the cream bag has only been worn approximately three times, mainly for special occasions. Despite such minimal use, the back of the cream bag has developed noticeable colour transfer/discoloration that I have been unable to remove. I brought the bag back to the boutique hoping they could help clean it or at least provide a reasonable explanation. I was told that the discoloration was caused by wearing dark-coloured clothing and that it could not be cleaned or restored. I asked to speak with the manager because I wanted to better understand how this could happen after wearing the bag only three times. The manager told me that some customers have experienced colour transfer after only ONE DAY of using their bag and that it cannot be fixed. This explanation actually concerned me even more. If a light-coloured luxury handbag can permanently absorb colour from clothing after such minimal use, and the store is aware that this can happen, I believe this is very important information that should be clearly explained to customers before they purchase the bag. Had I been told this when I purchased mine, I would absolutely not have chosen the cream colour. I also explained that my sister purchased a similar Saint Laurent bag more than five years ago. She has worn it many times with both dark- and light-coloured clothing, and her bag is still in excellent condition. In comparison, I have worn mine only about three times. Unfortunately, what disappointed me even more than the bag itself was the way the manager handled my concern. While I was trying to explain my experience, she repeatedly spoke over me and did not allow me to finish. At one point, I specifically had to say, “Let me talk,” but she continued speaking. I understand that a manager may disagree with a customer about the cause of a product issue. My disappointment is not simply because she disagreed with me. It is about the way my concern was handled and the lack of respect I felt as a customer trying to explain a legitimate issue. A word of caution to anyone considering purchasing a light-coloured Saint Laurent bag: please ask specifically about colour transfer before you buy. I was told by the manager that some customers have experienced it after only one day of use and that once it happens, it cannot be fixed. That is extremely important information to know before spending thousands of dollars on a luxury handbag. I certainly wish I had been told before purchasing mine. I genuinely loved Saint Laurent. Among so many luxury brands, Saint Laurent was one of my favourites, and that is why I purchased two bags on consecutive days. Unfortunately, the combination of the product experience and the way my concern was handled has completely changed how I feel about the brand. I have now escalated my concerns beyond the boutique and hope Saint Laurent will take the matter seriously.

  Came in to look for a birthday gift. The lady was helpful and knowledgeable. We ended up buying a purse from her and she also gift wrapped as well.
