Busy place, I couldn't find the fishing rods that were advertised in the flyer. Turns out the staff couldn't either. Disappointed that the sales advertised were fictional but I did find a nice rod and reel, spent a lot more money which is on me. Staff not loving the volume of people and avoiding eye contact but you'd hope they would have a working knowledge of what brought the customers in.

We were at the Bass Pro store yesterday & had a great experience. Laurie in the shoe area helped us with a folding wagon purchase & a boot purchase. She was very friendly & helpful!!! She didn't have an answer to one of our questions & excused herself to get more information for us! Great customer service. We were very pleased.

Went to purchase my very first firearm, a Father’s Day/Anniversary gift from my wife. Cabela’s was my first stop since I’ve heard nothing but good things. Even my instructor said that they would take good care of me, as a newbie… But my experience was the exact opposite. I dealt with Craig and Craig didn’t know anything. He was reluctant and apathetic, he had a very poor attitude, rude, and was rude to my seven year old daughter even. He obviously didn’t want to be there and the entire experience made us feel like a burden. He couldn’t even answer simple questions and was getting defensive when asked. The whole experience was confusing even—Craig communicated nothing. I should have just aborted and went somewhere else. I had some idea about what I wanted but really got zero guidance. The worst part is that when I called to complain and talk to a manager. The manager defended The actions of the employee, downplayed my experience, and wrote me off. His concern was clearly only their image and reputation, not MY lack of service. I believe his name is “Richard”. He said that he watched the camera footage (with audio) and based on that — determined that my experience was positive… insinuating that I’m either lying or being disingenuous. The irony… He was nothing but patronizing and ALSO rude, had no intention of making it right. The men at this location don’t seem to like their jobs… “he showed you a lot of guns and spent a lot of time with you”. I didn’t want him to show me a lot of guns 🤦‍♂️ I didn’t want to spend so much time in your store 🤦‍♂️ is that Craig’s job? A gun show-er? 🤦‍♂️ The whole thing was like pulling teeth. Richard’s logic was—because I always wear a smile, then I must always be having a good time. No. It’s called grace, a good attitude, an attitude that you and your employees clearly don’t have... That’s why you’re confused by the footage… You don’t have social skills… As if I can’t put myself in your uniform behind your counter—I would 100% make a better sales rep than Craig—starting from ground zero, without any knowledge or experience whatsoever… Hell, I’d make a better manager too. This level of “service” is completely unacceptable and all I REALLY wanted was an apology—You couldn’t do that, so enjoy your 1 star review. Word to the wise — Go literally anywhere else! I purchased the Beretta A300 Ultima— For an extra $100 I could have got the shorter patrol version. With a higher capacity (for target shooting like I had told Craig). Which would also have came with a rail for an optic. The only option for an optic on the 28” is $500 and you have to drill into the gun first 🤦‍♂️ not only that but I was sold a floor model. When I brought it home, I dissembled it for cleaning, and found that it was extremely dirty inside. But also that the action was quite worn. Ostensibly from customers handling it. NOT ONLY THAT but apparently these models are defective from the factory and it looks like mine has that same defect (warped firing arm in the trigger pack). You’d think that would be an important piece of information… Richard offered to buy it back for 30%. It says right on their correspondence that they will purchase back up to 40%. More incompetence. It has never been cycled, has never even been loaded. More reluctance—We didn’t even get that far in the conversation before I hung up. “I appreciate the feedback”. No. No you don’t… You’ll continue to feed buyers remorse to your customers and prioritize profit margins I think. I’m sure you guys could do a lot better but I’m glad Craig could make that $1400 sale! That’s what really matters! 👏 Feels like I just bought a used car advertised as new from a scummy dealer who had just rolled back the clock in the back 🤦‍♂️
