  Ordered clothing online and it ended up being too big, no biggie. Called the store to see if they have the size I required and the girl on the phone put me on hold and told me they did not have it. My intention was to come into the store and do a straight size exchange. I reordered the size I needed online at home as I was told I would not be able to order the right size from the store and have to do it on my phone. So I did, and brought the bigger sized item to the store to return while I wait for the right size I just ordered online in the mail. As I arrive to the store and return it I mentioned the price difference from the past week as it went up significantly and was told they could price match if I had bought here. I told the associate I was told I was unable to do that as it wasn’t in stock and was told to order on my phone as there was nothing they could do. Frustrated but understanding I returned the item and figured I should do a quick check in the store for the size I need. As I walk over to the pile the size I needed was the first one in the pile (so obviously the girl on the phone didn’t look that hard) I bring the sweater to the counter and show that it was in store and I’ve now spent over $20 and shipping on something I was able to exchange from the beginning and is why I called the store in advance of coming to avoid having to pay shipping and the inflated price when all I needed was a smaller size. The manager told me to call customer service as I should be able to cancel the order I placed online but after this entire ordeal spending over 20 minutes trying to sort this out I couldn’t cancel the order because it was 8 minutes past the cancellation time. The enployees should zero remorse and clearly are unable to do their jobs properly as I was on hold for a long time as she searched and claimed no XXS existed yet it was the first one in the pile… don’t bother going in store here. Just order online and pay the shipping. The headache of the workers at this location just is not worth it.

  I had never shopped at Aerie before but had decided to try ordering a couple of things online- the sizing is quite strange and the items I ordered were very small. A friend told me I could exchange them at this location and I thought that would be a great idea since the thought of sending them back myself sounded very tedious... I checked the hours and called ahead to ensure I could do a quick exchange when I was done work. I arrived at the store at 5:40pm when it was due to close at 6pm, and because of Covid it seemed like they were trying to shut the doors and get customers out early. I was turned away without even being asked what I needed. I felt very let down since I had called and talked to someone earlier who assured me this would be an easy exchange. I decided to call the store directly and ask if I could still come in to do the exchange since I did not need to touch anything or try anything on- all I wanted was a bigger size... Luckily the assistant manager Lauren answered my call and allowed me to come and exchange the items. I felt bad delaying their early closure but didn't know if I would be able to make it back with enough time to avoid this in the future since I often work till 530.... Lauren helped me with such a cheerful and helpful attitude that it totally made me want to shop there again, and shop online again if this company supports their employees to allow then to give such wonderful customer service. In the challenging times we are all dealing with people like Lauren who can maintain such a positive and helpful outlook are a diamond for any organization and a joy to encounter. I hope they keep her and give her a promotion! Thanks Lauren!
