One of the greatest store out there. Tim at the cashier area is amazing. Every time we're there, he's an absolute pleasure to talk to and he is so kind and hilarious. Lots of selection at this store. Basically a toy store for adults.

It's a cool store visually with lots of good gear, but I don't feel respected as a woman in the space by many of the male staff. I've been ignored several times (maybe even every time) over the past few years, and when some eventually had to interact with me at the knife counter they looked very unhappy about it, unlike the conversations they were having with the guys nearby excitedly showing products and talking about them. I once waited 10 min for the guys behind the counter who were enjoying a chat amongst themselves to acknowledge me(they had seen me very clearly), and eventually I just left but was ready to buy archery equipment that day for 3 people! They've missed out on at least $300 by deliberately passing me over in the boots section, avoiding eye contact and fleeing to the back or to help men who just strolled in. I shouldn't have to bring a man with me to unlock assistance (only to have to still talk through him like damn puppet), and shouldn't have to redial the customer service dept (who are great) because firearms can't be bothered to pick up. Overall, the vibe isn't very welcoming so I avoid the place when I can. The local gun/fishing shop had no problem spotting me as the outdoorsperson ready to buy equipment, treating me like anyone else, or answering the phone and talking about their products knowledgeably instead of being translated through a woman working customer service like it's beneath them to hold a phone. Basspro mgt: you could do better through hiring and training against gender bias if you wanted to. I invite you to prove me and ~50% of the population wrong by having your workers (esp. the men) ready to talk to women equally when they venture into your store looking to buy more than a pink camo sweater and frying pan. We'll be there now & then, at the gun and knife counters and fishing sections, with questions and money in hand... but will you accept us and our money? Or will you keep treating us like we're merely the companions of your "real" customers?
