  Came in here for a simple return. Apparently missing an arbitrary return window of a few days disqualifies you from returning a never worn item with the tags still attached. The manager was unhelpful, unsympathetic and condescending. There’s a reason in person shopping is dying, and this guy was it.

  Went into the store looking for a pair of wide legged baggy black jeans, as I've bought a couple of pairs before and enjoyed their pricing, comfort and durability. Went into the fitting room and tried a pair on, then walked out to ask if they had a different size. Staff and employee explicitly said negative things about my appearance in these jeans, questioned me aloud to ask if I was ACTUALLY going to purchase these jeans and brought back another pair in a different style, which she claimed would look better. Was disappointed in this service as I believe I make the decisions myself and did not ask for her opinion. Will not be coming back, and will purchase these jeans online instead.

  Thursday 4pm. Several staffs were friendly to me and always had a smile. Also asked if I needed any help after a bit of self browsing, which is good and not bothering. Overall good experience, was my first time coming here

  Very poor customer service at the American Eagle store in Metrotown. I went in to return an item and was waiting at the main register when an associate told me he could help me at another register across the store. I followed him, but another employee suddenly told him to help a different customer first and asked me to go back to the original line. By the time I returned, the line had become longer. I waited again, only to see the associate start helping customers who were behind me. A few minutes later, I was told to go back to the other register again. The whole process was confusing and unnecessarily time-consuming. When I asked the employee why I was being sent back and forth, she claimed there was another customer before me, although I never saw anyone. Her attitude was dismissive and unwelcoming, and there was no explanation or apology for the inconvenience. When I asked for her name to file a complaint, she refused and was not wearing a name tag. Very disappointing experience. This is not how loyal customers should be treated.

  Went to try and find jeans. The fitting room attendant Biying was super helpful and kind! She was helping so many people but did it fast and thoroughly!
