- LJLeeRoy JohnsonFeb 15, 20265.0I was in desperate need to get my car calibrated. I had already went to some Smart Start Locations listed as open, but were closed. Or they were listed as a Service Center, which was only a kiosk to make Smart Start appointments. I literally drove to 4 locations to find the one that was open on Saturday. I drove through the gated entrance to find that this is a auto repair shop, Vibrance Automotive. Seen Billy working on a truck. I drove up to the open shop door. Told him what I needed, parked, got hooked up, about 10 minutes completed. No hassle, no extra fees. Left on my way to continue my day . I have to say, i found my calibration home. Thank God. An honest clean reputable automotive company. Thank You for making me life easier.

What do I need for removal?
Requirements will differ by state, but generally your state authority must grant removal authorization before you can have your IID removed. You will then need to fill out the Device Removal Request form on our website and upload any official documentation that may be required to authorize the removal.
Do I need an Interlock Device on all of my vehicles?
Some states will require that you have an Ignition Interlock Device installed on all cars registered to you, but most states will just require that whichever vehicle you drive have an IID installed. Check with your state authority to see if you will need an IID installed on all of your cars.

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.
What can breathalyzers detect?
Breathalyzers only measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC).
Is an Ignition Interlock the same as a breathalyzer?
Ignition Interlock and handheld breathalyzers both test your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), but an Ignition Interlock Device is only installed in vehicles and prevents the car from starting if there is alcohol detected. A handheld breathalyzer only detects alcohol and may tell you the concentration.
Can I unplug my Ignition Interlock?
Check with your state authority to see if you are allowed to unplug your Ignition Interlock before doing so.
Can someone else drive my car?
Yes, but whoever is driving the vehicle MUST take a breath test and pass before driving. Any failed test will still be your responsibility.
