  A quick note on my experience with the 1916 Company. I met Derek shortly after he joined the 1916 Company (Hyde Park at the time) a few years ago. We chatted a bit about watches and potential lead times. I advised I wasn’t really looking to buy but would want to at some point. I have stopped in to say hello every so often and catch up on life/etc. Derek’s watch knowledge has grown immensely and his treatment has always been polite and professional. A few months back, I was in and let Derek know I was ready whenever he had a Submariner available. He knew I had a trip planned and asked if I would want it for the trip. Long story short he reached out a few weeks ago and said my watch was in. Thrilled with my new watch and I’d recommend anyone looking to stop in and ask for Derek.

  This store is a truly a gem for watch enthusiasts in Scottsdale, AZ. I bought four pieces from them recently - they got my preferred Rolex in record time and were very responsive in the other three pre owned horological masterpieces that I secured throw their pre owned collection. Brandy, Adrianna and Francis are truly great to work with - empathetic, supportive, caring and kind. For those looking to get rare masterpieces from their curated pre owned collection or something new from the manufacturers whom they represent as Authorized Dealers, the service will always be outstanding. My wife and I will keep adding to our collection with The 1916 Company and the Rolex dealership they own here in Scottsdale going forward….

  My wife and i walked into the store and were met by Carlos. We exchanged pleasantries (specifically where we were from was asked) and he commented on the watches we were both wearing. He then asked us what he could help us with. We mentioned we were looking for specific timepieces and we were initially met with, “I’m sorry, we have nothing that can accomodate that”. I asked specifically to see a timepiece in the cabinet then asked if he could check to see if he could sell it to us. He returned a minute later and within 5 minutes, Carlos was sizing the timepiece for my wife. We walked out of there feeling good about the purchase and Rolex experience with an AD in a different country. We will definitely be back to see Carlos on our next trip and that we have as happy an ending.

  World-class customer service with world-class products and people! I have been a watch fan for a while and had always wanted a Rolex. With a big birthday happening, I figured life is short and it’s time to treat myself. I found The 1916 Company as a local authorized dealer of Rolexes and made an appointment to come in. I was so fortunate to meet Carlos Leey, who is a tremendous human being and watch expert. I initially thought I wanted a Submariner watch, and thanks to Carlos’s expert education and guidance- I learned how small that watch wears on my wrist. As a big guy who is 6’4 and hasn’t missed too many meals- having a small looking watch isn’t the best look. Carlos introduced me to the Sea Dweller watch, which was just a work of art- and looked great on my wrist. The size, heft, and features were everything I wanted- but never knew. In my career- customer service is something I take pride in delivering. Clearly- Carlos is the same way, and not only was he a wonderful educator, he also is just a super cool, genuine guy. You cannot fake being authentic- and Carlos is just awesome to talk to and spend time with. I cannot state enough how enjoyable getting to chat with him was. Carlos explained the backlog of requests for these amazing time pieces and was helpful and took my information so I could be place on a waiting list for that watch. I am patient and not in a hurry and was grateful to be placed in the queue. Before I knew it- I was contacted by Carlos- and he informed me my dream watch had arrived- and we set up a time to meet. I went to the beautiful store and met with Carlos once again. Carlos introduced me to my watch, and showed me all the features and how to properly care for this watch. I love that it has the legacy of Rolex quality and craftsmanship, but is rugged and meant to be worn. I’m not operating a museum- and I need something that will hold up under dynamic conditions. I also love the fact that I can wear the watch every day, and truly enjoy it as it was meant to be worn and appreciated. In summary- I’m very grateful to Carlos and his outstanding company. The genuinely warm, thoughtful service was such a rare treat. I learned so much about the company and watch- and I loved learning more about such a fine company. I have my eyes on my next watch- and I am so happy to have an amazing connection with The 1916 Company, and Carlos Leey. I enjoy this watch so much and it was worth the wait. Someday I will get to pass this watch along to family- but in the meantime it will be with me for work, play, and adventures to come.
