  I recently began shopping at J.Crew and have really loved the brand, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I visited the store after receiving a 40% off promotion email and asked for clarification on which items qualified. The manager, Andrew, seemed visibly annoyed from the moment I asked and acted inconvenienced by having to check the items I was interested in. He confirmed that a linen shirt I selected was included in the promotion. At checkout, I specifically asked whether the discount had been applied, and he assured me it had not been charged at full price. After leaving, I checked my receipt and realized I had in fact been charged full price for the shirt. I then had to return to the store to have the issue corrected, which was frustrating enough—but the attitude I received throughout the interaction made the experience far worse. Everyone makes mistakes, but being dismissive, rude, and inaccurate while helping a customer is unacceptable. Because of this experience, I no longer feel comfortable shopping at this location, which is unfortunate because I genuinely enjoy the brand.

  I got a Jcrew credit card last year and loved my experience at this store. The staff were amazing. On 12/9 I bought a dress and cashmere sweater for my mom as a Christmas gift. Upon arriving home as I went to wrap it, I saw the security tag was still on the sweater. Disappointed bc I’d wanted to give it to my mom, I had to drive back to the store and have them remove it. Mary Carmen the manager didn’t offer any sort of concession or consideration for the inconvenience. Then when I left after making another purchase, it happened again as I went to leave and set off the alarm. I took the bag back, and the blonde woman working removed it. She was very professional and kind and apologized. Mary Carmen was very cold and turned me off as a customer for her lack of awareness and the response she gave for their oversight. If this was her attempt at customer service, then I definitely won’t be back again anytime soon. She also said it happens a lot when they are busy. 🤔

  If I could leave zero stars, I would, but I would like to warn people of the rude, unhelpful, lazy, incompetent staff I have ever met in customer service. Please find somewhere else to shop. It will be in your best interest.
