Our first Scheels experience was in Billings, Montana where we would frequent any time we were in town. We were recently in town for a tournament and to our surprise found this location nearby our hotel. Embarrassingly, we went three times and each time the employees were so unbelievably helpful and friendly. In this day in age, it's hard to find top notch customer service with people who genuinely seem to care about helping you but Scheels has this aspect locked in. From the cashiers, to the staff in the dressing room, to those walking around in staff meetings, to the person that helped us try out bats - everyone (and I mean everyone) was amazing. The selection of products is also something to be excited about - they had so many different brands, options for various products (hello softball mitts, bats, and gear), and fun extras. It's an experience to shop here.

As a disabled veteran, I have frequented Scheels for years, but my recent experiences at the Chandler location have been deeply disappointing.
First, the accessibility issues are unacceptable. The handicap parking is already quite limited for a store of this size, and on my last visit, I couldn’t even find a spot because non-handicap vehicles were parked in the designated spaces. As someone who relies on those spots, having to park further away and struggle into the store is a major deterrent. I’d like to see management actually monitor these spots to ensure they are available for those who truly need them.
Beyond the parking, the value for military members has dropped significantly. Product prices across the store have climbed noticeably higher than competitors, and to make it worse, the military discount has been reduced. It feels like the "thank you for your service" sentiment is disappearing in favor of higher margins.
It’s a beautiful store with a lot of variety, but between the rising prices, the shrinking veteran support, and the lack of parking enforcement, it’s becoming harder to justify shopping here. I hope management takes these concerns seriously.

We love the Scheels stores wherever we go. So proud to see how they’ve grown from a small store in Sabin Mn to downtown Fargo, ND then expanding to multiple states. The stores are beautiful with wonderful displays of wildlife, aquariums, memorable statues of US Presidents and many even have indoor Farris Wheels. You can find the highest and best quality merchandise as well as something affordable for everyone. If you have a favorite sports team, they probably have your favorite swag. The service is exceptional and it’s an employee owned business. A MUST DESTINATION!

I had an absolutely outstanding experience thanks to Brian Primavera in the golf department at Scheels.
From the moment I walked in, Brian went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome and taken care of. His knowledge of golf equipment is incredible — whether it was drivers, irons, wedges, or putters, he explained everything clearly and made sure I understood the differences without ever making me feel pressured. It’s obvious he genuinely cares about helping customers improve their game, not just making a sale.
What really stood out was his patience and attention to detail. He took the time to ask about my skill level, playing style, and goals, and then thoughtfully recommended options that actually fit my needs and budget. You can tell he’s passionate about golf and takes pride in helping others find the right gear.
Customer service like this is rare. Brian is professional, friendly, and truly an asset to the golf department. If you’re shopping for golf equipment , do yourself a favor and ask for Brian — you won’t be disappointed!

I had such an incredible experience in the archery department at Scheels thanks to Drew.
As a complete beginner purchasing my first bow, I honestly walked in feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what I was doing. Drew immediately changed that. He was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping me learn. He didn’t rush the process at all — even though I came in later than I probably should have (which was on me!). Not once did he make me feel like an inconvenience.
He took his time walking me through every detail — from setup to fit to technique — explaining things in a way that made sense and made me feel confident. You can tell he takes his job seriously and truly cares about doing things the right way. He’s clearly a pro, incredibly conscientious, and passionate about archery. That kind of professionalism and dedication absolutely stands out.
Employees like Drew are the reason people come back and stay loyal to a store. His level of service deserves recognition — and honestly, give the man a raise. It shows when someone loves what they do, and Drew absolutely does.
Go to Scheels if you want to take up archery as a hobby or you want to take it to the next level for the price and experience you won’t regret!
Thank you for such an outstanding experience!
