My mom bought me a pair of diamond earrings from JCPenney for my 21st birthday, and the very next day after receiving them, the backing fell off and I lost one of the earrings. This happened less than a week after the purchase, clearly due to a faulty backing. We called the store hoping they could help since the product failed immediately, but we were told that nothing could be done. For something as expensive and meaningful as diamond earrings, I expected much better customer service and product quality. It’s really frustrating to lose a gift so quickly and then be told there are no options for support or replacement. I’m sharing this in hopes that JCPenney will take situations like this more seriously in the future and stand behind their jewelry quality and customers.
