Scheduled installation appointment on Lifesafer website touting “No-call install.” Appointment confirmed via email and phone call from Lifesafer. Showed up to the shop this morning and the shop had no record of any appointment. The shop owner told me that he makes his own appointments. If I’d like to leave my vehicle for the day he could probably get to it. I declined. I have no issue with the fellow at the shop. Your shop, your rules. I called the 800 number for Lifesafer to express my dissatisfaction and get clarification. I was told that I should have called the shop to ensure availability….isn’t that what the appointment is for? How about the confirmation? The “no-call install?” Website also guarantees same day installation or the first month is free. I won’t know if that is also fabricated advertising because the poor communication has made me think twice about using this company. Feels like a glimpse into a problematic future.
