Please stop bugging people when they walk in to sign up for your club or stop asking me for my phone number at the checkout! I am tired of making up fake numbers to give the cashier! Now that I got my grumpy old man complaint out of the way, great selection of fishing and hunting gear. I wish they would scale back on the clothes and bring in more camping and outdoors.

I was in there for quite some time looking to buy some waders. I tried to get several employees attention but they just kept on walking past. Not good customer service.

I’ve shopped at Bass Pro for years with no major issues when buying ammo or small items, but buying a gun there was an absolute disaster. I ordered a firearm online and was excited to finally pick it up after work, but the entire experience was a complete joke.
I arrived, signed in, and there were only two people ahead of me. Somehow I still ended up waiting over two hours before anyone even bothered to acknowledge me. And the worst part? Not just one, but two different people who signed in after me were helped, finished, and out the door long before I was. I have no idea how that’s even acceptable.
When they finally got around to helping me—only after I complained about the insane wait—the process dragged on even longer. Their system kept crashing, the employees were too busy chatting with each other and goofing around with a couple of guys standing there, and it took them almost another hour just to complete my paperwork.
And before anyone tries to justify it, yes, I understand waiting for a background check. I’ve purchased firearms at other stores and I’ve never dealt with anything this sloppy, unprofessional, or flat-out incompetent. Buying a gun is supposed to be exciting, not something that feels miserable and so dragged out that it kills the whole moment.
What makes it even worse is that when I got home, I realized the case my 19X came in was cracked. After all that waiting, all that nonsense, they didn’t even hand me a gun case that wasn’t damaged. Unbelievable.
I’ll still buy ammo and small things here because that’s usually quick, but if you’re thinking about buying a gun at Bass Pro, save yourself the time and frustration. The experience was embarrassing from start to finish. Honestly, what a complete joke.

We found what we were looking for and more! The kids really enjoyed the fish and taxidermy. If nothing else it makes a good spot to stop and walk around during long car rides.

Shopping here has become a real annoyance. You are hit up with offers from employees from the minute you walk in the door until you check out at the register. We were approached with no less than six offers between timeshares, credit cards, donating to troops, fill out surveys to get a gift card, and one guy even approached while we were shopping to try to get us a sign for a credit card. Makes us really not want to shop here. We were literally trying to avoid eye contact with employees so we could get out of the store faster.
