The parking lot is so confusing and dangerous, it's not worth going. Don't bother doing an online pickup in-store order. It's the most antiquated system you'll ever see. I had to show my order confirmation, then my ID, then sign a paper, then sign on a computer, then they had to go to the stockroom and get the item. Waste of time. Just pay extra for shipping.

Ryan Johnson in the fishing department is absolutely amazing. Every time I go in the fishing section, he is always there to help. Freshwater, saltwater, it doesn’t matter he knows it all. Told me exactly where I needed to go to find some amazing crappie, help me pick out the perfect saltwater rod and freshwater rod and tonight help me narrow down to the perfect crappie rod for me as well. He also gave me insane recommendations on lures, technique, location, and he is very knowledgeable and friendly. We actually struck up an amazing conversation about everything from cars to life to fishing. Definitely deserves a raise, as well as some sort of accolades in the store. Not only helping me, but he also took the time to help several other people at the same time. Seriously, this man is a rockstar. I do a lot of research before I make a purchase, and generally speaking I come in and get his opinion on a couple of things after I’ve spent a few days reading reviews and product testing. I ended up purchasing both of the combos that he told me to, as well as every lure. He told me too. He even made a great recommendation on which saltwater line to use. He is the reason that I keep coming back to that department. You do have a couple other guys in there that know their stuff, but none of them can hold a candle to Ryan Johnson.

Insane parking lot. Overpriced. You are boxed in by the doors and turnstile.

This was my second time being there since this location opened in its first week. I was amazed that you couldn't just walk in. There's a turn style entry you must clear before entering. I was then approached by an agent who sells trips. I was disappointed that after listening to the 2 agents, no gift card was given as suggested. Apparently you must first buy a trip and than you get the gift card. They need to make this more clear, so that time isn't wasted shopping for something you know that you will get. I went to look at gun holsters and the selection for gun wasn't there. However the sales person was very nice and suggested I go online to find it. He showed me their website and I was pleased with his service.

Wow. Tried ordering a firearm from this Prattville store with a price match approved by corporate. Manager John did not want to honor the price match and wanted me to come to the store to find a solution after I told him I live 2 hours away. I called corporate back and was able to solve the problem but they did confirm managers are allowed to ignore the price match given by corporate. I have shopped for years at multiple bass pros and can't think of having such a difficult and unpleasant experience with them. For $200 the Prattville location is losing my business.
