I went in today to try and exchange a pair of leggings I got a couple days ago. I wore them one time and they had a string pulled so it was almost ripped. I know my size and knew what I wanted. I have been shopping here for so many years now and these are the only leggings I will wear. I didn't think anything of it, so I threw away the receipt and took the tags off. The receipt didn't really matter because it was tied into my account and if they pulled it up they would see when I bought them. I went in to try to exchange them and she told me that they can't do it without the tags. What am I supposed to do? Wear the leggings with the tags still on? No. I know what I wanted so obviously I took the tags off. This was a terrible experience and I don't know if I will be shopping here again.

I hate to say these are all correct. I actually said something to the 4 girls all talking in a pile by the back desk. I roamed looking for particular item...they glanced at me. No one smiled and said Hi! or welcome or informed me of sales. I finally said do any of you work here? Or all of you? They all did. I said well I am trying to find something if anyone has time. I also said I see all reviews of here are correct. One lady came over and asked what I needed. They all then fluff piles of clothes while watching me. 2 other customers were there and that did not stir them into helping. I moved to check out and all shifted elsewhere. I stood at desk and said I am ready to check out. WOW. That store needs serious training in retail. I smiled was not abusive. Did not swear. I did tell them they could improve their customer interaction.

There are about 5 girls standing around a table talking and gossiping. They don’t welcome anyone in and they give dirty looks to all the customers. Don’t offer to help at all. Very small store and they are all huddling in one area. Can’t even get a fitting room without having to get through to one of these girls. When I’m checking out there is no hello, no how are you, nothing. Just scans my clothes and tells me the total. Not even the slightest smile. I worked at American Eagle for years and I was pushed to sell, engage, and be friendly. These girls do nothing and it really ruins the look of aerie. Do better.
