  Ammo behind the counter? Really? It would be one thing if the gun counter was fully staffed, but I'm not waiting half an hour to grab a few boxes of ammo. Maybe the reason there is a decent selection is because nobody can buy it.

  Tried to buy a gun safe and asked someone behind the gun counter for help or if he couldn’t then to just call someone over. He came to help us, got the model of the safe and then disappeared. We saw him 15 minutes later helping other customers and watched him help 3 different people without acknowledging us waiting. I finally found someone else who went in the back and confirmed they had them and I could pick it up around back after paying up front. As I’m in the checkout line the same gentleman comes running up and says that actually he can’t find them and not to purchase it yet. We then wait another 15- 20 minutes while he tries to locate the three that are in stock before he comes back again and tells us he can’t find them and that the managers are too busy to help him. Second guy tried at least but I guess I’m going to Cabelas down the street.

  As I'm writing this waiting in the gun counter to pick up an online order on a pistol, no employees came to say hello be right with you or what not. Still waiting and has been 10 minutes. One worker is literally standing waiting for who knows what. Always have horrible customer service with the anchorage location. Yes, i am in front of their store camera writing this.

  I don't do this often, write a bad review that is, but I feel it necessary to share because this is the only way that corporations will make changes to policy short of a lawsuit. Where has the customer courtesy went in this country? I was just treated like a criminal for wearing a back pack. I guess the store policy is to remove your backpack and put it in a cart up front and then walk away and leave it unguarded while you continue to shop. My question is why didn't they do that to the lady that was in the store with her purse that was as large as my drawstring backpack. I just flew my airplane into town so I don't have a car to keep my stuff in. So when I go shopping after the gym I need to have a small bag to put stuff in. I get that there may be a problem with theft but that doesn't qualify me as a criminal and I should not be profiled and discriminated against. I would have spent hundreds in their store today if not thousands, instead Sportsman's Warehouse has lost a fairly affluent customer for life... Just read the rest of the reviews and it looks like my feelings are validated. It may explain why there was nobody else in the store. I have run several successful businesses and if I was the GM of this location I would seriously be looking to replace the management to turn those numbers around before its too late! It's not hard to see the remedy, focus on customer service and fire your cashiers immediately!

  What a great experience, we had just left another gun store after a bad experience with the salesman and when we came here we were greeted with a much friendlier salesman (unfortunately I don't remember his name) huge shout out to him! he explained everything we had questions about in great detail and really helped me and my partners experience, he made her feel comfortable and confident in an area where she is still new to. We left ecstatic with a fantastic handgun (sig p365) that she absolutely loved and we are so pumped to get out to the range this weekend. Thanks for being so kind, helpful and taking the time to answer all our questions and offer awesome suggestions. Again really wish I remembered the gentleman's name (came in 01/30/26 @5pm) give that man a raise sportsmans!
