If you’re a real nature lover, not a nature killer, this place creates a very special kind of inner conflict. Educational? Yes. Entertaining? Definitely. Ironic? Absolutely. - WSWayne SetoDec 12, 20251.0I don’t usually write reviews but my latest experience with the Bass Pro Santa photo experience in Rocky View prompted me to write one. The whole experience felt rushed from the beginning. After taking a number of photos, the girl chose 1 photo for us and said that was the only one that turned out. We may have wanted a not so perfect photo as it’s more natural. We’ve done this in the past. Usually the Santa photos places let you go through and take a look at them. We were the Bass Pro on 64 Ave NE previous and they let us look through the photos. I caught a second photo of my kids crying with the Santa to which I liked as well but she wasn’t going to show me originally because it didn’t “turn out good”. But I decided I wanted that one too. So here comes the banger, I took two digital images and just eight 5x7 for $68. That’s insane. It was so rushed I felt pressured into it. After leaving, I just did not have a good feeling with the whole experience. On top of this, the photos came in 4 sheets with 2 photos on each which means that these photo sheets need to be cut so that there’s 8. Also the sheets came out curved. And Bass Pro doesn’t offer to cut them. So I’m expected to hand cut the photos and get a clean cut. So I went to customer service to see if they had a cutting shear to which they did. So I did it myself and then the customer service lady says “We usually don’t do this” like she’s doing me a favor and coming across like it’s such an inconvenience to her. What a garbage experience to get hosed for $68 where you barely get anything, product , service or experience wise. I’ll never do Bass Pro Santa photos again and I’ll share my experience with family, friends or anyone who’s willing to listen.
