  Bought some shoes there. Cashier Christopher was already a bit short and unfriendly. But when I bought the shoes he asked if I had an account, I said no, he then put me on the spot and said do you want to give your points to the person behind you? He didn't explain any context or what that means. He didn't even explain what the VIP program is. I felt very uncomfortable and obviously couldn't say no so I said yes and he took her info. I saw her email popup. I looked it up online and saw she would have received an email for the transaction if she has notifications enabled. This makes me very uncomfortable. I went back in and asked Christopher about this and he said he was certain, without a doubt that she wouldn't ever see anything regarding this transaction. But online material says otherwise. This makes me so uncomfortable and is such an inappropriate practice.

  I’m confused about the insistence on collecting email addresses at checkout. I’ve only shopped here twice in the past two years, and both times I felt pressured in an uncomfortable, almost aggressive way to provide my email. It makes the checkout experience unpleasant. Is there a reason staff are pushing this so strongly? It would be appreciated if customers could simply decline without feeling pressured.

  My wife needed new boots, the staff were helpful and polite. Will go back when we need more footwear.
