Had a great experience today. I was approached by a guy who just started working there. He was very friendly and eager to help. He then directed me to other people by the changing rooms who were also very good

The Lululemon store at Edmonton’s Southgate Centre represents a shocking collapse of professionalism, courtesy, and basic respect. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt suffocating, tense, and unmistakably hostile — the complete opposite of what the brand claims to stand for.
What struck me first was the imbalance: there were far more staff members than customers, yet none of them showed the slightest initiative or willingness to assist anyone. The store was filled with employees standing idly, wearing blank, joyless expressions as if they were forced to be there. Not one smile, not one greeting, not a trace of genuine service. The indifference was so blatant it bordered on contempt.
The woman who appeared to be the manager set the tone — her face locked in a scowl, her attitude dripping with arrogance and irritation. She seemed to view customers not as guests but as intruders. Other staff mirrored her demeanor, ignoring shoppers entirely and making no effort to engage or help locate products.
Most disturbing of all, a dark-skinned female employee — apparently acting as a security guard — was deliberately and persistently following customers around the store. Her behavior was invasive, intimidating, and completely inappropriate. It created a sense of being watched and judged, not welcomed. Such conduct is unacceptable in any retail setting and raises serious concerns about discriminatory profiling and toxic management culture.
This entire environment — overstaffed yet utterly unhelpful, overbearing yet devoid of warmth — was absurd, unprofessional, and frankly disgraceful. Before writing this, I thought I might have simply had an unfortunate experience. But after reading numerous similar complaints online, it’s clear that this store’s problems are systemic, not accidental.
If this is Lululemon’s corporate culture, then the company has lost its moral and professional compass. If it is merely the failure of this specific location, then urgent disciplinary action and corporate intervention are long overdue.
This store has completely betrayed the spirit of the Lululemon brand. Until a thorough investigation and complete management overhaul occur, I strongly advise every customer to avoid this location at all costs

Just do not go here, shop online, the girls gossip and cause trouble at the cash register then get some guy involved in girl drama and accuse me of the gossip. I was so confused. I just needed to buy some stuff and some was going on gift cards I had in my app, they said I couldn’t use them. So I left and used online.
I am a loyal Lululemon member and would like to file a formal complaint regarding my recent experience at the South Edmonton Common store.
On Friday October 10th, 2025, during the afternoon I tried to return a product, but unfortunately, the staff did not assist me because the tag was not attached to the item. I explained that I’m a member, but she still refused to help and also didn’t assist me when I asked for help accessing my email to show the proof of purchase.
The manager there, a young short woman, spoke to me in an inappropriate manner and refused to help. She was speaking in a loud voice and was not professional at all. She is not qualified to deal with customers or to hold such a position, especially in a company like Lululemon.
The manager’s behavior was unprofessional, rude, and inappropriate for a workplace environment. Her conduct created a hostile and uncomfortable situation, which I believe is not acceptable for any staff member, especially someone in a managerial position. The manager also gave me incorrect information when I asked to receive the receipt by email. She told me that Lululemon does not issue electronic receipts, which is not true, as I have previously received a printed receipt before.
She refused to assist me and handled the situation in a very personal and unprofessional manner.
Indeed, I later visited the West Edmonton Mall location, and the experience was completely different. The staff there were extremely respectful, and one of the employees processed the return promptly and professionally upon accessing my account, and he also issued and sent the receipt to my email, contrary to the incorrect information provided by the manager at the South Edmonton Common store.
Thank you for your time and understanding
