The customer service manager was incredibly rude, and refused to actually listen to understand. I called in when the store had opened because an online order I was to pickup was ready, promptly after receiving the notification it said 1/2 items were available. I contacted the store to be met with the manager who answered in a bad mood before I could even open my mouth and was huffing and puffing. I asked for a size check and to place the bottoms on hold and explained how my online order was only partially available (turns out all sizes were in store as well, just a lack of checking). When I went into store I waited in line to get the items, I was told they couldn’t do an exchange on an online order that wasn’t physically here yet, I said no problem. I repurchased the same pants and asked for a price adjustment for what was listed online, the store manager tells me it cannot be done when I was quite literally reading the policy and also worked at American eagle years ago and knew of this policy too. She then argued that nothing could be done and I’d have to wait until December 4th. When all was said and done the sensor tag was still left on my items to a receipt she JUST reviewed and instead of handing me back my receipt she threw it in a box for me to retrieve. This behaviour is absolutely disgusting for a store manager. I called corporate only for them to confirm the price adjustment should’ve been done in store to which now they have to process online which can take 3-4 business days instead of just having it done instantly in store.

I came to this location searching for a specific pair of pants. I ended up needing the long size, which they typically don't carry in store. I wanted to order the item through the store instead of online, since I was already there and had a mall gift card. The entire process to order the pants probably took 15 minutes. The lady who helped me (who has been mentioned in other reviews) made a big deal about selecting the correct colour. For context, they had my size in long in brown, but not black like I wanted. I noticed the next day that she did order them for me in brown, which I did not want. Unfortunately, because it was the next day and an in store order, online customer service could not help me. I had to wait for the order to arrive and exchange (in store was the only option). Once the pants arrived, I headed back to the store, to do an exchange. This time, the associate forgot to include my Unit Number on the final shipping address. Again, because the order was made in store, online customer service could not help me. Save yourself the trouble and just place your orders online instead of through the store, as they have little to no attention to detail.

not surprised this store has only 2.2 stars with the customer service. older blonde lady (presumably the manager? -also mentioned more than once in poor reviews) incredibly rude and has poor customer service skills. tried to return something a few days past 30 days (which is my fault, i know) but i was met with zero compassion or even a pretend attempt to help me. younger girl at till was very sweet and apologetic, and i appreciate her for that. i don’t know why people bother working in customer service with this kind of attitude. as someone who previously worked for the AE franchise for years, i would never be so cold to customers. super disappointed :(
