Came here to pick up an online order, when I entered the store I immediately found that the employees weren’t attentive and didn’t care that a customer had entered. I went to ask an employee that I was here to pick up an order and this older blonde woman said to go to the cashier and she would help me. I did so and waited about 5 minutes until the same woman came and said she’ll just do it instead as the employee at the cash register was already taking their time with another person. I found that this older blonde woman was unnecessarily rude and blunt, lacking basic customer service skills. This is disappointing and I’m not surprised this location only has 2.2 stars.

I came in and was hoping to return an AE online order and was told by a woman (older blonde lady) worked there I can’t and clearly you can according to their return policy. Also she is not polite at all. No wonder they have so many bad reviews. I shouldn’t have bothered to visit this store. Never come back.

I visited Arie today to pick up an order I did online. I approached the cashier and asked politely where I could pick up my order. She said “here.” She asked for my order #, I provided it and told her I was picking up two orders. She handed me the first bag and said “was that it? The shirt and pant set.” I said “yes, but only the pants are in this bag.” She said “no, the shirt and pants are in that bag.” I had to pull out the pants from the bag and show her that the shirt was not in there. Then she couldn’t find the order with the shirt. She asked (I think, a manager) for help. The manager asked to see my email, I showed her. She said “well if we can’t find it, we didn’t receive it yet” (without looking). I said, “oh ok, so why does the email say ready for pick up?” She said “because the pants were ready but not your shirt.” I showed her the email again and said “this is a shirt though, not the pants, and it’s a completely separate order than the pants.”She said “I am aware that’s a shirt.” My mom piped up and said “ok well can you issue a refund?” She said “I’m not issuing a refund for something that’s not even here.”
I said “well I’d like a refund or for someone to figure out why I got an email saying my shirt was ready for pick up.”
Finally a lady named Michelle came over and told me she’d take a look in the back room. She found the shirt that was, in fact, ready for pick up. No apology from the rude lady that we can only assume was the manager. Myself and my mom both agreed , worst customer service we’ve ever experienced. Will 1000% only be ordering online and never going back to that store. But, thank you to Michelle- she was very helpful and pleasant.

The customer service manager was incredibly rude, and refused to actually listen to understand. I called in when the store had opened because an online order I was to pickup was ready, promptly after receiving the notification it said 1/2 items were available. I contacted the store to be met with the manager who answered in a bad mood before I could even open my mouth and was huffing and puffing. I asked for a size check and to place the bottoms on hold and explained how my online order was only partially available (turns out all sizes were in store as well, just a lack of checking). When I went into store I waited in line to get the items, I was told they couldn’t do an exchange on an online order that wasn’t physically here yet, I said no problem. I repurchased the same pants and asked for a price adjustment for what was listed online, the store manager tells me it cannot be done when I was quite literally reading the policy and also worked at American eagle years ago and knew of this policy too. She then argued that nothing could be done and I’d have to wait until December 4th. When all was said and done the sensor tag was still left on my items to a receipt she JUST reviewed and instead of handing me back my receipt she threw it in a box for me to retrieve. This behaviour is absolutely disgusting for a store manager. I called corporate only for them to confirm the price adjustment should’ve been done in store to which now they have to process online which can take 3-4 business days instead of just having it done instantly in store.
