  We have owned our Clayton Home for about five years now and overtime The poor craftsmanship has surely shown the home quality is poor things definitely fall apart over time and everything built inside the home is cheap to help their bottom line. Tim Shell and Justin Riddle were dishonest about Vanderbilt Refinancing the term of our mortgage just to get the deal signed and over with. In total, I called them twice back out for minor repairs to the home and the second time I took off work made an appointment and they didn’t even show up. Save your money go to a different place and do not support this place.

  High dollar homes. Just don't understand why people buy fabricated homes when they can buy a real house for the same price? You have the same wait and bank bull with a regular house as you do with this place and the house will hold it's value.

  We purchased a new mobile home from Clayton homes of south Charleston, Wv it was delivered and put on the foundation on November 3rd. They were quick to get it set and off their lot but after that I went for a couple of months without hearing anything. Then once I called their corporate office the sales manager reached out to me to tell me we have to have all of our utilities hooked up before they would do anything else. Which was never mentioned prior. Plus I had never even been given a key to the home to even hook the utilities up. The home sat for over 2 months without being fully enclosed. Exposed to the elements and moisture. I called their corporate office again and once again the sales manager contacted me stating that it wasn’t enclosed because the parts were on order. A couple of weeks later a couple of service technicians came to install the rest of the siding. They tore up my yard and slung mud all over my other house and my vehicles. No communication has ever been given when someone is coming to work on it. They just show up unannounced and don’t even check in even though I live next door. We bought a lot model and after delivery there was considerable damage to the inside of the home. They hired a contractor to come and trim the home and get everything fixed and even he stated he was shocked about the condition of the home. He said he wasn’t able to fix everything and he was taking pictures to let them know more work needed to be done. After that, nothing. I took detailed photos before and after the trim job. I sent photos with detailed descriptions to the sales manager and told him the issues needed to be fixed before we moved in. This was January 10th and nobody ever came. When I turned the water on to the home there were huge water leaks due to defective fittings and loose fitting that led to floor and drywall damage. Also tens of gallons of water leaked under the house into the insulation. I took pictures and videos and sent to the sales manager and still have received no response. This is our first home and we feel as if we are being taken advantage of and brushed off by Clayton Homes I would not recommend anyone buy from this establishment
