  Apartment hunting can be exhausting and frustrating. When phone calls, texts, and emails are inconsistent and sometimes not returned....or...you discover the posting was a scam....it's unnerving. Michelle at Oakbrook, was exactly opposite of that. She communicated in a timely manner, was extremely positive, and was very informative and welcoming on the tour. Thank you Michelle.

  I would leave a zero star review if I could. I lived here for most of the summer and initially I was actually pretty pleased with the grounds and rose gardens. However after reading some of the other reviews online I began kinda concerned one day after I got home from work and my ESA husky was very sick and erratic all night and his mouth smelled like cinnamon gum. I didn't think much of it at first until one day when I was home I saw the section 8 tenant that lives above me shoving something under my door gap. I notified law enforcement, animal control, and the housing office. Without anything other than what I saw the only action I could take was to have the gap fixed. This seemed to fix the issue initially, but after it continued I got very frustrated and tried to confront the section 8 resident when he ran back inside his house. He actually called the police after no action was taken on my behalf and I ended up getting evicted for my frustration. Needless to say I have a perfect criminal record and I am a tax payer. This place favors section 8 residents and felony animal abusers over tax payers. Do not rent here. Well you have my name and me and my husky are here to kick butt and chew bubble gum and these days we are severely out of xylitol gum. The maintenance crew is the only plus here.

  thisyou value your health, safety, or basic dignity, avoid this property at all costs. I lived in a unit with active water intrusion, visible mold, and structural damage that management refused to properly remediate. A licensed inspector confirmed the unit was not suitable for habitation — yet management offered no relocation, no licensed remediation, and instead proposed “encapsulation” while tenants remained inside. Staff were dismissive, retaliatory, and unprofessional. They ignored formal complaints, refused to provide required HUD and Section 8 documentation, and attempted to shift blame onto tenants rather than address serious habitability violations. I had to document everything myself, hire third-party inspectors, and escalate to legal aid and state agencies just to be heard. If you're considering moving here, ask for a full mold clearance report, proof of repairs, and all lease addenda upfront. Otherwise, you may find yourself trapped in unsafe housing with no support.

  Been living here for over 1 years now. Previous management(s) didn't really fix Maintenance issues (leak in our ceiling for over 1 year and was never fixed). Weeks after the new team took over Josh and his team have done an amazing job fixing the issues including the leak in about 1 week (between finding it and fixing the wall)

  Every since I have been delivering here at Oakbrook apartments I've noticed the Staff Chase, Alex & Ashley, the "Dynamic Trio" move this complex to the next level. They are constantly busy working on projects & tending to the needs of the residents who they love & care for so much & viceverse. In the time I began delivering here, a couple years ago, I myself have seen so many upgrades & things getting done around the complex Chase & Alex are on top of whatever needs to be done, the amount of projects they completed are very impressive! Ashley is so professional & really caters to the needs of the residents! It honestly reminds me of one big family. They have even made my job easier. Ashley keeps my updated on the the turnover so I can deliver efficiently as well. I'm not sure what Oakbrook wil do if there not here. Thank you Chase, Alex & Ashley!
