Just when I thought a pleasant rental experience had become non existent, my partner and I found the Chronicle building apartments. The experience has been easy and gone exactly as expected. The building is multipurpose with a winery and brewery situated below us, along with other office spaces on the back side. Despite being in the midst of Downtown Spokane, this is one of the quieter apartments I’ve lived in - street noise is minimal and we never hear our neighbors.
Ryan showed us the building initially. He was very thorough, was straight up about associated costs and fees, and made sure we were able to experience all parts of the building. We put in an application immediately. The process was quick and simple. It was obvious they are proud of this building and they should be. It’s gorgeous.
Joy has been a wonderful property manager. She is very professional and easy to talk to. The few times we have needed to get in touch with someone she always gets back to us in a timely matter.
The maintenance team at the Chronicle is top notch. I see people cleaning all areas multiple times a week, including our parking garage and the common area hallways. We have had only one maintenance request and the issue was addressed and fixed in less than twelve hours, exceeding beyond our expectations.
The apartments have been thoughtfully re-done in the recent years and the finishes are beautiful. Washer/dryer/dishwasher, secure entries, large windows, and a communal rooftop area with flowers, views, and barbecues available for use. The security on site is great. They’re all very friendly and keep the downtown property feeling safe.
We plan on staying here as long as we are renting. I highly recommend Centennial Property management and the Chronicle building apartments.

Lived in my unit for about two years now. Literally the only downside is the insane greenhouse effect because my unit is south facing, and the entire south wall is pretty much just windows and it gets sun all day, even though it's only on the second floor!
Security, maintenance team, and tenants are all fantastic people. The secured entries make it very safe to live here. Security is also nice to have around for when I lock my keys in the apartment on accident. One day I will have to move out of this place, and I'll be sad when that day comes. Maintenance routinely cleans the air filters and has helped me with a few issues and unlike some apartments, they do what they're supposed to and not charge extra for the maintenance.
