  New appliances. Great natural light. Helpful staff. Beautiful, well-maintained grounds. Lovely amenities. And best of all, it's a smoke-free community. So. Why only two stars? It's brand new construction, and excellent soundproofing is available these days. Adequate soundproofing is also available. A decision was made to forgo either option, while constructing Magnesium Village. Perhaps they felt that, at these price points, people don't deserve the dignity of living with peace or privacy. We can hear absolutely everything going on in the unit upstairs, and I don't just mean the almost constant, aggressive stomping. We can hear him cruelly deriding her. We can hear her tearful pleading. We can hear his angry responses. And the near-constant, aggressive stomping I mentioned is absolutely exhausting to live beneath. I have never even owned noise-cancelling headphones before we moved here but now, I'm wearing them inside my own home much of every day; and if I want to get any sleep I have to wear them to bed. They are not comfortable to sleep in. But the endless, angry stomping continues through the night and we don't just hear it; the stomping coming from our ceiling is so intense that we can feel it shaking the floor beneath our own feet. It didn't have to be this way. It's possible to construct a sturdier building than this. And it's a shame. All the amenities in the world don't make up for the fact that, because of the constant auditory assault from above, home isn't a place to relax. It's just a place to shower and sleep, while wearing noise-cancelling headphones.

  Excellent place to live. Amazing spaces. Parking is a huge issue. We've mentioned it a few times, so not sure where to put this feedback. They really need to issue only people on the leases resident stickers for their cars and not allow anyone else to park in the village. There is never any parking because a lot of residents will constantly have tons of family members and friends over and eat up all the free spots, and the apartments are only allowed to buy one spot. After that, you have to get a garage, which is very expensive.

  We’re new transplants to the area, was told by conflicting details by the office on what was required to actually rent an apartment. We put down a couple hundred dollars to hold the apartment with the understanding it’d be refunded once they processed our application, and if we had been considered ineligible for whatever reason. Shortly afterwards, they came back and told us we didn’t qualify and they refused to refund the fee. This was after we were encouraged by the office to submit an application, which apparently they knew we wouldn’t qualify for anyway. A complete mess, their front office is a joke.

  I lived here for a year and absolutely loved it!! Jesica was so sweet and helpful with the move in process. Great community, staff, and environment. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
