  I moved all the way from Dallas, TX and for several months now since I found the apartments the manager, Shandie and I have been communicating and worked through the entire process through emails etc. By the time I showed up all was needed was to sign the lease. I can’t be more grateful for Shandie and how easy she made the process. I love my apartment and hope to stay a long time. Don’t have enough nice things to say.

  $2,100 in bogus charges. Avoid Elk Creek Apartments! I would give this place a zero star if I could. Elk Creek Apartments kept my $1,200 security deposit and is now trying to charge me an extra $915, totaling about $2,100 for damages that are mostly pre-existing or normal wear and tear. I kept the apartment spotless. The carpet already had some stains, doors had holes, and closets had marks. At the move-out, the manager even said it looked great. Yet they claim the entire carpet and dryer need replacement. The dryer was fully functional when I left (I used it right before turning in the keys), yet they claim the door won’t shut and may need full replacement. I have witnesses to confirm it worked perfectly right before I turned in the keys. They claim closet stains prevent new tenants from moving in, even though most of the stains existed before my tenancy. They can't move tenants in with a few stains but they can move ME and my family in with holes in the doors. ( which I took pictures of the day I moved in) The only charge that might be reasonable is around $70 for the cheap blinds installed on the sliding glass doors. These are the cheapest most easily breakable blinds I have ever encountered no matter how careful you are with them. Tiny apartments for $1,200+ per month, plus a loud constantly drunk disruptive upstairs neighbor that would constantly yell at his girlfriend. Overall, this feels like a scandalous attempt to charge a former tenant for pre-existing damage, normal wear-and-tear, or upgrades after only a short tenancy. Blatant tenant exploitation. Could ruin your credit. Document everything and report to the BBB. Do NOT rent here. See photos below of holes and stains on door when I moved in

  It's impossible to find someone to talk to, their office always says that they are closed, even during normal business hours. No one ever answers their phone, and when you have an appointment set up no one is there. No one shows up for the appointment, no one ever returns phone calls. It's impossible to tell whether there's openings or not, even when other businesses try to help you set up an appointment...........
