  Malloy apartments are above and beyond what we were expecting. We had to hurry and find an apartment within a few weeks and chose Malloy sight unseen since I am a flight attendant and was not able to take my daughter out there. We were beyond impressed. My daughter graduated from UW last year but is now back to get her Master’s. We honestly feel like we went from Motel 6 to the Westin, and her previous apartment is only 2 blocks north! The staff at Malloy are amazing and it’s nice to know someone is always there if you have any questions. I would definitely recommend Malloy Apartments!

  I've lived in several different spots across Seattle, and I can say without a doubt that The Malloy has been the absolute best! The building itself is incredibly charming and clean. In addition, the management team is kind, professional, and actually responsive to resident needs. The neighbors are also very welcoming and friendly. Additionally, the location is unbeatable. You’re right across from UW and steps away from the Ave, with super easy access to the Link. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home in UDistrict, I highly recommend The Malloy!

  I'm so grateful we found the Malloy. It seemed like every other option in the area had one fatal flaw between management, living conditions, upkeep, price, etc. The Malloy more than satisfies each of these elements. One instance that I think encapsulates the amount of care this staff puts in their work was from move-in. The fridge that came with the unit was brand new but had a manufacturing error. When I told the team as much, they guaranteed that the work day wouldn't end until a new and functioning fridge was in the unit. Sure enough, they brought a new fridge in the early evening. The facilities are in excellent condition, all with an authentic art deco style that you just can't find nowadays (with the exception of the gym, package lockers, and laundry room, each outfitted with new machines and amenities). To touch briefly on mailing, the building uses package lockers and mailboxes inside the building. With the gate out front, the building door, and both of the managers in their front offices during working hours, there's never a fear about things being stolen or people who don't live in the building or aren't guests ever entering. The premises feel perfectly safe. Arguably the Malloy's best quality is its staff. Both managers and the custodial group are on-site constantly, communicate diligently, and show genuine care in multitude of ways. Employees here know the residents by name and are always willing to answer questions, solve issues, or just have a nice conversation. I've already renewed my lease and look forward to continue doing so while I'm in the area.

  Location is great, the old hotel building is cool, but new management has become very money grubbing in their approach to tenants. The lease structure doesn't match a school year so if you want a year lease, you have to have an 11 month lease and then pay for the additional month. The additional month is double the cost, so a studio leasing for $1750 a month for 11 months costs you $3500 for the additional month. They've also decided on ways to take all of your deposit. Even if you do a great job of cleaning it "doesn't meet their standards" and they will take the rest of your deposit for painting and new stove drip pans which they used to provide for each new tenant anyway. Beware!!!
