    Extremely difficult to get ahold of anyone. Turnover seems to be an issue with staff — very kind girl working in the office, but very new and didn’t have many answers. When you can get ahold of anyone via phone it’s very clear they’re only motivated by filling units blindly, not caring about needs/preferences/etc. Very much wanted to consider this spot but leasing staff have entirely turned me off to the prospect. Could go into detail about the sheer unprofessionalism but 2 stars speaks for itself.

    We have lived here for a year and will not be renewing our lease. The communication between staff is poor and getting things taken care of is difficult. When we moved into our unit there was mold in the washer machine, every surface was dirty, there was residue left in the shower from the former tenant, both windows were broken, shower fan was caked in dust, the oven was covered with cleaning solution, and half the outlets were loose and plugs would fall out. My husband and I spent a few hours cleaning our unit to make it suitable for our daughter but the one thing we could not clean was the oven. Whoever cleaned it did not properly use the chemical they chose and every time we would turn the oven back on the solution would flake off and float around the oven. The cleaner came back once and did it incorrectly again and I was unable to get all the sediment off the elements and fans. While the cleaner was in our unit she apologized for how dirty it was and told me maintenance never finished and her team was not able to clean it before move in. It took 7 months and I don't know how many emails to finally fix it the oven. Two weeks ago our entire apartment filled with smoke due to our downstairs neighbor. They were using their fireplace and our flue was shut. It was a significant amount of smoke and we had to open the doors and windows even though it was 40 degrees outside. The 24 hour maintenance mail box was full and whoever had the phone was not answering. We have two children and it was honestly not safe for them to be in the unit. The next morning someone from maintenance came and apologized for his colleague. He took apart the fireplace and found a piece of charcoal that was keep a latch open. We would not have been able to fix that ourselves. We had ash on all the surfaces in the living room from the smoke. Then a week later we finally heard from the front office and she said we most likely left the flue open. There is extremely poor communication between the office and maintenance. And little to no urgency from the office. The bathroom attached to the primary bedroom gets little to no ventilation and easily grows mold/mildew. The windows also grow a significant amount of mold in a matter of days if not cleaned constantly. We bought two separate air purifiers and fans for our bedroom to help the situation but it didn’t resolve the issue. We really enjoy our apartment layout and the property, but we will be moving because of the issues. It’s not safe for kids. After the smoke and mold issue, we tried to contact the office to see what our options were for moving early due to health concerns. But there has been no response. There is a sign in the office asking for reviews, and I doubt a lot of the 5 star reviews are coming from long term tenants. We have had 3 leasing manager changes during our one year lease and all the changes really affect the quality. If you’re considering moving I would advise against it.

    I have had a great experience while living at The Preserve. Lars was a huge help while I was trying to find the right apartment for me. Dustin from the maintenance team was also quick to respond when I had a power issue after office hours, which was much appreciated! I would highly recommend this community to anyone.

    Lars went above and beyond during my tour and made the entire experience exceptional. He was knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions without ever making me feel rushed. His professionalism and genuine enthusiasm really stood out and made the property feel welcoming. If you’re touring this community, I highly recommend asking for Lars—you’ll be in great hands!
