I’ve really enjoyed living here at 128 on State. The building is always clean, the location is perfect for walking to the lake and downtown, and it just feels easy to live here. Veruschka has been awesome to work with. She’s super friendly and very helpful whenever something comes up. Kevin is great too, any maintenance request I’ve put in has been handled quickly and done right. Highly recommend this building!

128 on State has been a great place to live. The building is modern and the location in downtown Kirkland is super convenient as it’s close restaurants, and coffee shops. The property manager, Veruschka is great! She’s responsive, and easy to work with any time I’ve had a question or needed help with something. She remembers residents by name and makes the place feel more like home. I’ve had good experiences with Kevin from maintenance, who is always quick to respond and very friendly. I’d definitely recommend 128 on State to anyone looking for a nice place in Kirkland.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after living here for a year and a half, I genuinely feel obligated to share my experience so future residents know what they’re signing up for. Throughout my time as a resident, the management and office staff were consistently unhelpful and unresponsive. Communication was vague at best and nonexistent at worst. Emails often went unanswered, and when responses did come, they lacked clarity and follow-through. It often felt like residents were an inconvenience rather than valued tenants. During my lease, there was a complete staff change. I was genuinely hopeful that this would bring improvement — better organization, better communication, and a fresh start. Unfortunately, nothing changed. If anything, communication and overall responsiveness seemed to decline even further. The same issues persisted despite the transition. The pricing is absolutely not reflective of the quality of service provided. You are required to use their internet provider — you cannot have your own WiFi — and the utilities are significantly overpriced. For what you’re paying, you would expect efficiency and professionalism, but that was not my experience. Operationally, the building is frustrating. The elevators are frequently down, and the parking garage is regularly malfunctioning, which creates inconvenience and honestly feels unsafe. These were not isolated incidents — they were recurring problems throughout my time there. The move-out process was especially disappointing. There was little to no clarity around final charges, my deposit, or what to expect financially. I was initially told I would be receiving part of my deposit back, only to later be asked for additional money after being told my account was paid in full. The back-and-forth was exhausting and unnecessary, and it reflected a serious lack of organization and transparency. The only bright spot in this entire experience was the maintenance team. They were consistently kind, professional, and incredibly timely. Every request I submitted was handled quickly and thoroughly. They deserve recognition for being the only reliable part of the operation. Overall, this building charges premium prices without delivering premium service. After a year and a half of hoping things would improve, I can confidently say I would not recommend living here

This was my first apartment since moving to Washington, and I’m not sure I could’ve done it without Veruschka. Veruschka made the leasing process seamless — she answered all of my many questions about the property and was very easy to get a hold of. There were admittedly some bumps during the move-in process (disconnected light, broken toilet), but these were fixed very quickly. And this brings me to what has made this property really shine during my time here — the people. Despite their arrival meaning something is broken or wrong, I always look forward to seeing Marco and Kevin. They are very positive and down-to-earth with a great sense of humor. They are also experienced and efficient, such that any further maintenance issues I’ve had have been resolved promptly. Veruschka has also been nothing but compassionate, generous, and patient. As I’m new to the area, she has given me local recommendations and has organized apartment community events that have been notably instrumental to helping me find my feet. Beyond that, she’s really gone the extra mile repeatedly to help me feel comfortable and settle in. For example, as absurd as it was, she agreed to come check my oven the first time I used it to make sure the smell was normal residual burning off and not a gas leak — I still can’t believe she agreed to do this, but this exemplifies the effort she puts into this place for the good of its residents. Veruschka cares — and cares deeply. It means a lot for your apartment complex to have a face that’s not just a car-salesman smile but a real person with a real heart. That’s why I look forward to seeing Veruschka every time I pass the front office (and to grab a snack for the road). Great location — makes downtown Kirkland very walkable, allowing access to excellent restaurants and beautiful lakeside views.
