I scheduled an appointment through the website after speaking on the phone with a woman from the office to confirm that there were 2-bedroom apartments available right now. I was told yes, so I booked the appointment online.
When I arrived, the office had a sign saying it was open, but the door was locked. I tried opening the door, knocked, and waited outside for about 10 minutes.
After that, a woman approached me and told me that there was no one in the office that day and that no one had access to the keys, so she could only reschedule my appointment for the following week.
I wasted my time and gas driving there. This location is far from where I used to live, so it was not a short or convenient trip. I do not understand this kind of treatment. If the office is not staffed and appointments cannot be honored, this should be clearly communicated in advance.
This experience was extremely frustrating and unprofessional.

I came in to view some apartments and worked with Lenor Hernandez, and he made my experience very welcoming and calming. He explained everything in detail as well as was patient in answering all my questions. If you’re looking for a place with great management and beautiful apartments, I would highly recommend!

Greystar was a nightmare of a management company for this complex. They managed to accomplish amazing feats such as painting the walkway in front of our building with pool paint, making it nice and slick. Oh, and avoiding people. And generally not knowing what they were doing.
But! We have a new management company now!
EDIT 7/11/2017: So quick tip for you folks. If someone in the office claims that you can "always leave a voice mail," don't. After 5 different incidents of office staff claiming a voice mail was never left I am forced to believe that they either don't listen to them, delete them without touching them, or they can't handle communication with each other. Considering proper communication is extremely important, especially in a landlord and tenant situation, this is just crazy unprofessional. Bad enough that I'm lowering my rating. If things improve I will certainly adjust my rating.
