This is a wonderful community! The management team is very responsive, and the groundskeeping and maintenance teams work very hard to keep the property looking great and working smoothly. Our apartment and the amenities are clean and comfortable, and our neighbors are so kind. Special thanks to the new team member, Alyssa, who is incredibly helpful and responds quickly to every question I have! Very happy to have Brackett as my new home!
I have lived through many of the management teams. This one while having hiccups at the start, are doing their best to make this place better. They are staying extra hours to assist people with the change. Personally at almost an hour past closing I was able to go into the office and be helped by Alyssa who made it easy to understand the new phone entry program. I am excited to see how they continue to help our community

Do not be fooled by the curb appeal of this community.
My family has lived here under three different management companies—Greystar, Avenue5, and now Waterton—and the decline has been steady. We hoped Waterton would turn things around, and even offered grace during the management transition, but months later, nothing has improved.
We love the Edmonds area, but for nearly $2,600/month, the experience has been incredibly disappointing. Maintenance requests linger for weeks or months, and when repairs are finally made, they’re often sloppy. Communication from the office is inconsistent, and the transition to the new phone-app building access has been a nightmare. I haven’t been able to access the gym or the mailroom, the latter directly affects my ability to support my two young children. I’m an independent contractor and often receive large checks in the mail, so being locked out has been incredibly stressful.
Our unit has dealt with repeated water damage, mold growth, peeling tub enamel, running toilets, and a broken washer that went unrepaired for months. Windows are original and drafty enough to form ice on the inside during winter. Even simple fixes take forever, and quality control is nonexistent.
When I voiced my frustrations to a leasing employee she said "We all have a choice." So I should just move?! Many working class people DON'T have a choice. Not only are my children established in schools and their community, my husband is also completing a college degree, and my work is reliant on the client base I've established in the area. We are tied to this community and we can't just pack up and leave.
We’ve made friends here and love the neighborhood, but this complex has become increasingly unlivable.

We’ve lived at Brackett Apartments twice — once years ago before we had kids, and now again. It wasn’t amazing back then, but it was far better than what it’s become. When new management took over, we were hopeful things would improve, but it’s only gone downhill. Communication is poor, maintenance is unreliable, and the staff feels unengaged.
We’ve had an open maintenance request since September 11th for a simple tub drain and caulking issue. They didn’t show up until early October, did a sloppy caulking job that peeled away within days, and ignored the clogged drain entirely. We submitted another request on October 13th to remind them it still wasn’t fixed, and as of November 10th, it’s still not done. Something that should’ve been a quick, basic repair has dragged on for two months. Instead of actually fixing it, they dropped off a dehumidifier, said they’d be back the next day, and never returned. It’s still sitting in our bathroom, which we haven’t been able to use for a week. Maintenance also tends to leave tools behind — and once even left our apartment keys inside the unit.
I work a lot during normal office hours, so I understand it can be tough to catch staff in person — but even on the few occasions I’ve gone out of my way to stop by, there’s almost always a “be back later” sign on the door. When my partner mentioned how frustrating the entire experience has been and said it’s been a nightmare living here, the staff member’s response was, “We all have choices.” That comment was incredibly insensitive and unprofessional. A lot of tenants here feel stuck because rent prices everywhere are high, and saving up to move isn’t easy. Hearing that kind of dismissive response — especially from someone representing management — felt like being told that if we can’t afford better, we should just live with poor service. My financial situation or anyone else’s should never be referred to or brushed off like that by staff.
We love the location, but the quality of life here doesn’t match the cost. We’ve dealt with leaks, mold on the lower floors, and sprinklers that turn the walkways into mud. Even neighbors we’ve befriended have said they’re dealing with the same frustrations and lack of follow-through from management.
We’re only staying because it’s one of the cheaper options in the area, but for what we pay, it’s just not worth the stress. Until management starts addressing issues properly and treating residents with basic respect, I can’t recommend living here.

It was a rough start with the new management team, but maintenance has always been great and now it feels like we have people we can work with in the office.
Like most places, it is over priced for what it is, but the location and most of the unit is pretty darn ideal for what my family needs. If we were paying like 3-400 less a month I would 5 star this place so fast.
Shout out to the maintenance guys, you have been awesome. Keep it up!
